Was Tulsi slapping Angad needed? Is it a bit hypocritical?

Tulsi slapping Angad I thought was a bit hypocritical as wasn't her marriage with Mihir the same situation where Mihir and Tulsi loved each other yet Mihir was engaged to someone else? He then broke that engagement and married her? Hence Angad is doing that Tulsi did all those years ago.

I thought the slap was very unnecessary you know.
