Rashmika is fabulous actress. she might have done some questionable movies like animal but after The girlfriend, she has become one of my favourites. I could not decipher what the movie was about from trailer.

I personally don't think only the script was the king here(unlike for some meryl streep of bolywood). Rashmika elevated the script. she is very expressive and presents herself well. in Geetha govindam she stood out the most to me more than Vijay.

Thankfully this movie is south indian otherwise meryl streep would have snatched this role too.

In times where movies are declared "successful" when just got released, I think: " let them party for advertising the movie - successful or not"... I don't care smiley2

It's a success in the US. In the Telugu states, it has not crashed on weekdays. Maybe that's a success of some kind, but not like the US.

I want to watch this, for the theme, but I am not traveling to the suburbs to watch an indian movie, definitely not to an indian theater.

That's something I easily can believe as it isn't the first time that movies with certain topics are more successfull in the West than in India... fine for the makers smiley1
