Armaan's childhood may have been traumatic but whatever he did in his middle age was his own doing. Running away with the kid, questioning his wife character and motherhood , getting her licence cancelled was his own choice.

And what difference did a happy childhood make for Abhira , she is still a doormat who supports criminals like vidya and Armaan by voluntarily doing jhadu pocha and 5 pages ka bhashan who can't even complete her studies, priorities her traumas over her daughter's feelings and education.
