All the talk is definitely PR machinery. I have not heard any of my friends mention it. Numbers are also not great. The series was just okay. Nothing sticked out in a good way , but few did in a bad way. There was no need to keep those.
Something is very fishy indeed
Nielsen posts data weekly 14sep to 20sep . BOB released on 18sep.
Ashram was on a free platform .the views aren't also tracked .These are random articles. They don't have source. (Even Netflix says they don't make their data public bt Neilson is still trustable)
The Kapil Sharma show lifetime views were less than 5 million. 1 million per week not 24 hrs lol
Royals dint have cultural impact but it was popular n sex scenes/thirst trap help
2hr movies n 7 hr show are different. Check how Neilson counts views .
BOB is gonna be one of the most watched Indian shows on Netflix . Trending in its 4th week
even if ashram was not free platform it would have more views than bob etc
because everyone is curious to know what happened in an ashram or church etc
also show is about exploitation of women and target is the small towns and villages
not really big city ppl metro ppl except the lower strata
that is why ashram is so successful
bob targets are elite rich ppl or metro ppl not villagers and small towns etc
nos are always based on who is target audience
thats why in 90s most love story had rich girl and poor boy so both village and metro are target audiences
not a niche shows like nowadays
watch kabhi kushi kabhi ghum its target audience is everyone a suppressed mom(all wifes in india) a dominating hubby(mostly small town and villages) a young uk educated srk(target audience urban educated 21 to 40) a heart throb kid bro hrithik(13 to 21) a dumb rich girl kareena(for men audience) a rejected bahu kajol(for all bahus of india ho are rejected by in laws family) a daijaan (for maids and nanny)
many 90s movies targetted every audience
watch hum saath saath hai, hum apke hain kaun, ddlj, maine pyar kiya etc all had target 100% audience of india and asia

Well duh, SRK fans were working overtime over that flop
Well, that's what fans do in general... for the actor/actress they are fans of...right...
It may be a flop for you (which is okay as personal perception) but still it made waves also in no-fan circles

Wow, that’s a lot of struggle for a series like Bads of Bollywood.
I would call it "a lot of learning" for something he wanted to do the best possible for the first time

There still is praise for the work Aryan did with his team:

It is fine that Shashi used his not-so-well being to watch TBOB
another one:
#TheBadsOfBollywood is a classic example of the potential that Nepo kids can reach…making the impossible possible with their resources, network and power. Nobody else had the brains to make something like this...Super late to this partyBut #TheBadsOfBollywood is exceptional entertainment Wow, Aryan Khan might be the best nepotism product of Bollywood for decades now. What a wild reflection on the “Harami” cinema industry. Can’t wait for whatever this guy makes next!
