But seeing how bad the condition of itv is currently, I miss her era shows. They were highly addictive, entertaining with lead and other parallel couples having great chemistry. She also used to find great talent and would cast them. Most popular actors like Ronit Roy, HC, Shweta, Shakti, Sakshi, Smriti, Iqbal Khan, Urvashi, Rajeev Kendwal, Hithen, etc have been her finds where she either found them to cast them or they became known faces through her shows first. She had a talent to get the best gems and cast them. Now we mostly see such subpar performers on itv
her shows survive on leads chemistry just look at kumkum bhagya. People love shivansh prarthana jodi and watch the epis. Yeah trp not same as old times but that's itv problem. No, it’s only now like in Kumkum bhagya that it’s surviving now only leads chemistry and has nothing else watchable in it. But before other than few shows KTH and KYPH where lead couple was the main draw, all her other shows had not just only great chemistry but also great villains and other characters which were among main draw for audience watching as well. Like Kasauti AnuPre were extremely popular but many also loved watching Kamolika, Prem, Aparna, etc too. Her villains were very well written. Actually Ekta ruined ITV. Before her era of serials, the shows on ITV were quite progressive. Her shows were mostly regressive but addictive. People used to get fed up with the repeated tracks but still they was something in her shows that made people keep glued to them
