UAE have put up an above average total on the board after being put into bat. The opening pair of Sharafu and Waseem set up the innings with a 88-run stand. They took some time to get going but once they found their bearings the runs started to flow. Both got to their respective fifties with Waseem almost carrying his bat. But the handy cameos from Zohaib and Kaushik is what took them past the 170-mark. The pitch is good for batting and there is some help for the spinners. UAE will feel they have enough runs on the board. Oman, on the other hand, will have to bat well if they are to stay alive in the competition.

UAE dominated the proceedings, slowed down a touch in the middle overs, but picked up momentum at the death to post a decent total on the board. With a balanced bowling attack, they are well-placed to defend it. Oman will have to bat out of their skins to chase this score. Muhammad Waseem held the innings together, while Alishan Sharafu thrashed a quickfire fifty, cashing in on his rich vein of form.
