Just checking in.. I was hoping we could clear this up. I think the book we decided on was All the Missing Pieces and not The Things We Leave Unfinished.

In the meanwhile, I have started reading Anti-Hero.

I am reading all the books I suggested🫣 Done with All the missing pieces, finished with The things we leave unfinished and started Anti-hero this morning.

I shall read The invisible life of Addison larue too by this month🤗

Done with Anti-hero. I’d have rated it higher because of the banter and chemistry between Kit and Collins but it had one of my least fav trope. Accidental pregnancy

Sorry bro.. I had a crazy day. I finished all the books on our list.

I liked The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Like it was a 3 star book. I liked the themes it explored but I can't say I liked Addie herself. Henry was so boring as a character too. Luc was good though. Says something about a book that the best character is the devil himself lol.

All the missing pieces was a fun read too. I hated the dialogue though. The author should have done a better job with it. Brought down the vibe of an otherwise good story.

Anti Hero was meh, I guess. I am also not a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope. Nor did I buy the idea that Kit had been yearning for Collins. I mean the feels wasn't there. He didn't talk about her in his head like he was suffering from her refusal to seriously consider him as a romantic partner. Which is really disappointing because I do love this trope. I found Collins annoying. Their banter wasn't good. The chemistry wasn't there. Yeah, it was a poorly written book.

But I think nothing can beat how poorly written A touch of darkness was. Like man how can you ruin Hades and Persephone in this manner?? I mean that is the easiest romance to write and what a disappointment this book has been. This read like a poorly written Lore Olympus fanfiction and Lore Olympus is shit to begin with.

I picked another book in between and that’s one I am enjoying it more🤣 So will continue with “invisible life”… in September at this point

A touch of darkness was Greek mytho turned into millionaire romance with broody morally grey ML and naive FL😅 Persephone was plain too stupid and clueless many times. And Hades was the poor misunderstood ML. He is not evil🙄 bro, the whole Greek mythology aspects weren’t working in this book. And there is a trilogy. No thanks! I won’t continue🫠

Yeah you're right about the mystery part. Would have liked more of it. I didn't want to mention it earlier coz I'm not a natural romance reader toh I thought ki meko hi lag raha tha bas. Glad to see you liked it too. But man, didn't you think the entire enemies vibe in the beginning was diluted coz the dialogues were so bad. And later when they were flirting, I was like this does nothing to me 😭😭

Bro, Anti Hero brought together every annoying trope together. Like how annoying was Collins. Phir I dislike Sister's Best Friend. Phir she was not financially unstable but planning for a kid aur behen ko Kit bhi nahi chahiye zindagi mein. Aur yeh dono purre book mein ladte hi rahe aur last mein, she's like I love you. Like hello?? Kab hua tumko pyar, madam?

I think I need to apologise for picking A Touch of Darkness coz man I was so annoyed with that book. Persephone toh maha annoying thi hi. But man, Hades ka characterization bhi bakwas laga meko. This is a hate crime against Greek Mythology Retellings.
