Everyone just did Aarti. Couples did it together. Raveena Shruti and Puneet did alone... Malla wanted to do with Vik... but for him she is no longer his wife... and he wants Mannat to be his wife.. so he got her there.

Ritual nahi hai Aarti... that was done by Pandit. Aarti is like Veneration... I dont suppose there could be a English word for this.

This Aarti is like ones we do for welcoming guests, warriors, winners etc... there need not be a formal relationship between the two.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong and have different opinion.

We, South Indians,call it Harathi..Basically it's Thanksgiving to God, showing our reverence, devotion to deities after the performance of puja rituals of shodasa upachaaras...It can be done by anyone...along with anyone...

As Moor said, Aarti can be done to people also in welcoming like new brides and new bridegrooms, while going on some important work , giving aarti and putting Tilak on forehead for success...

I feel ye rituals ko jyada importance nahi dena chahiye... especially in ITV.

They are mostly for optics... to symbolize a divine connection between leads. PL ke saath rituals hote bhi hai to they fail or are incomplete.

In this show we have been fooled already... so just take it for aesthetics I suppose. 🤦‍♀️

And its to capture the current festival spirit and nothing else.

Perfectly said. Ekta taught me in my early childhood - don't believe in ITV festivals and rituals, they mean nothing sacred to anybody out thereIts just a visual art
