I’ve finished the book this morning. What chapter are you on?

I don’t even know what to rate this because it was just a very weird book and no plot 😂 I went to read more reviews and some actually said this was like Mindfck series couple 🤣🤣 Whoever said that needs their head examining 🤣

I rated it 2 after a bit of contemplation. The only thing I’d liked was the few bits of banter. Everything was pretty predictable and there was no plot. I considered a 1.5 but thought I’d be lenient and nice 😂

I neither consider this a romcom nor a dark romance nor a dark comedy. I found nothing funny about it. I'm probably sounding really mean rnsmiley19 but even Does It Hurt was darker than this

Yes DIH was better and I rated that a 3 star.

I agree, not sure why people said this was a dark romance or dark romcom. It wasn’t. It was just a very weirdly written book. The trigger warnings made it seem like it was going to be right up my alley with the violence, serial killer stuff etc but was such a mess. How there’s an audience that likes this book and continuing to read the others in the series is pretty shocking. I’m wondering whether we’d all read the same book 😂

I’ve started King by TM Frazier to wipe off this book 🤣 and shelving the author to never try again. It was just very bad writing.

Also the characters were inconsistent, or was it just me.smiley24 By the end, the MCs dont really sound like serial killers at all.smiley36

Have you read anything by A Zavarelli and Natasha Knight? I like their writing.

Lol I agree with that. The way they were emotional after every 5 seconds, nobody would think they’re serial killers 😂

Individually, I hadn’t liked Natasha Knights stories, not sure what it was but it just didn’t capture my attention enough, however the ones she did with A Zavarelli was really good. I loved the Society series of theirs and enjoyed the Ties that bind.
I loved A Zavarelli’s Boston Underworld. I haven’t finished whole series yet, got a way to go.

How are you finding it? I read it when it’d come out so forgot most of the story lol but I remember really enjoying it. I went to a book event where I got to meet the authors and got their arts of some scenes 😂 I feel like rereading this again now 😂
