I dont think its the depth... Mannat is slightly more practical... having lived a less privileged life... Vik on the other hand is like Malla... has always got what he wants... so for him to lose something would be difficult to digest.

mannat is surrounded by her enemies and so many things which are still need to put on their place and she knew it very well

while vikrant like an innocent child who still doesn't know that what game his trustworthy people are playing with him

mannat's motto must be to remove all the thorns in their way and to get justice before pursuing for vikrant so that her past will not mess her future with vikrant

and vikrant thinks that only malla is vile so by giving her divorce he can clear out his way for mannat but when he will face the truth reveal of the demons living in saluja house on that point he will be broken and that will be the real test of their relationship for both mannat and vikrant
