As I saw it the OG had lots of twist plots and the love story wasn’t the key feature- it was Mannat and ARS, Mannat’s bio dad being key to Mannat being abandoned in the first place, then was the ManVik love story and Malla obsession and Aman truth early on…. it also had some very boring subplots.

In the Hindi version they played heavily on the divine connection and love story using Adnan and Ayesha to pull the viewers in, then typically for itv got caught in the trp game and introduced these shock tracks, endless repeats of same issues, and usual making ML so oblivious of any of the vamps’ games. At the end of the show whenever it will be, I don’t feel it will be remembered as anything noteworthy, other than having AdSha as leads.

You’re right they should have kept it as finite series and delivered an outstanding show that it had the potential to with the calibre of lead actors they have.

This is the reason, I was hoping this was a finite series with max 250 episodes. They would have kept the story crisp and not fallen for the the over used track in ITV 😭

I do agree that they needed to amp up the kalesh/zillat factor in the show in order to increase their TRPs. And not complaining about turning Mannat into someone who knows how to give it back and put people in their place - that is something that I have wanted from the beginning and felt that the show needed, because all we saw was a passive Mannat who was abused left, right and center and never gave it back. My biggest complain is what they have done to Vikrant's character and him ending up being married to Mallika - and in my opinion, there could have gone about it in different ways, while still keeping the drama factor amped up and retaining the essence of Manvik despite them having issues/misunderstandings, etc.

And yes, it's high time ITV explored more finite series options.

I think it depends on whether this is a CCTV or video and who released it. By the angle its a video most probably taken by Malla... but creative ka logic kuch bhi ho sakta hai.

I am going with Malla trying to show how Mannat is a gold digger but somewhere I feel it will backfire on her. Mannat ne already fielding set kiya hai where ARS has to defend her.

Mannat already explained to the family that ARS cut a deal ... Vik will see the proof of it now.

I hope in his sobriety he can make some sense of the situation. 🙄

This guys's talk...I felt like writing to him ki agar aap log aise twist leke aayenge to hame subscribe karne ka man nahi karta.

ALl these people say achche drama aane wale hain...without realising we don't care about the drama factor, we are upset about Manvik.

Goes to show how disconnected we are!

For all these people. it's a job, they have to do. I feel even among actors, Adsha, Mona are being careful, because they are mindful of the people that hype them. Other actors are quite happily talking about the twist, and getting so excited. It's incongruous with what the online audience feels.

The twist is here to stay. I hope it helps them with TRPs. I want to see Ayesha and Adnan for a long time.

100 times over, they need not have got Malla Vikrant married. An engagement would have been fine.

I am all for kalesh...heroine giving it back. But when will makers understand that leads fighting together also gives TRPS. Granted romantic scenes don't give TRPs. But they are the creative ones, they need to weave their scenes in such a way that it is interesting!

I am finding a huge lack of good writing here.

Never thought I would say this, but I have to admit, through so much heart break, and literal stress for viewers, so much so that we would cry during episodes, we could never doubt that the writing for Lost was very good, episode wise. That's why they were always nipping at the heels of Upma.
