I mentioned this in my post long back as well, but what I see is Vikrant never trusted Mannat. The only time when he took her words at face value was for Puneet, but he already had a problem with Puneet from the start.

He did not trust her during Bobby's kaand and forget about with Neetu . And he goes a long with everything Malla says and talks about trusting Mannat. If she has to prove herself Everytime to him, then even his love will never to enough to hold her.
