Shubman Gill: Brilliant game of cricket, we were right in it. Last three-four overs didn't go our way but still a good game. Definitely not easy when we drop 3 sitters. Wasn't easy for the bowlers to control and doesn't help when you drop 3 catches. Message was simple (for Sai and Washington). Just play the game you want to play and the goal was the same for both of them to make us win. Because of the dew, the wicket did become little easier for us. Definitely lot of positives for us. Last 2-3 games didn't go our way but credit to all the players, especially Sai - he was terrific for us this season. 210 would've been par for us on this pitch.

GT are eliminated. It will be MI vs PBKS in Qualifier 2. Despite the early loss of Gill, GT kept the chase going with a fine stand between Sai Sudharsan and Kusal Mendis. The left-hander continued his rich vein of form with eye-catching strokes and some of them were just astounding. Kusal on the other hand played his strokes too before unfortunately he went back on his stumps. Washington came in at 4 and the two left-handers got the big overs needed to keep the chase going. That's when MI turned to Bumrah and the man didn't disappoint. A searing yorker not only floored Washi but left him to do a full split en route to getting bowled. That opened the game up and MI professionally closed it out. Till Sudharsan was there, GT had hope but he fell in trying a scoop and it was too difficult for them from then. There was dew and that did affect MI but they cleverly kept Bumrah back and he once again proved to be the difference with help from the others. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...
