So what should I say then? We're discussing reservation, so we'll have to use the terms assigned by society. If I supported casteism, I'd be opposing reservations.

some degree of time based reservation based on economics of family may make sense for perhaps 1 gen for education.

As for data ,, the cut offs are shared openly. What you mentioned is you have seen that majority do exceeed cutoffs and that is simply not true as then one doesn’t need any reservation, let alone increase it.
