Hindu lower caste has all my support but those who have crossed over are not my people. I got nothing to do with them and vice versa. So why would I feel sympathetic towards them???

I don't discriminate against lower caste. Things have drastically changed from our grandparents time. My own brother has married a girl from lower caste. My parents were initially hesitant but now she has become a darling of the family and entire extended family.

I wouldnt know if someone is from lowercaste from their last name unless they themselves specify. Infact most people wouldn't recognise based on last names.

There is vasy difference in the way lower caste arw treated nowadays as compared to ealier times.

Gov is doing their best they can to uplift them...they have sc/st act...they get reservation in education jobs, gov schemes etc etc aprt from housing, ration n all..irony is you are opposing most of it.

So how do you propose we common men do to bring about the change on individual level?

Why do you expect us to beat ourselves over n over again just because some politicians want use the caste faultlines to their benefit at every chance??

And I am not going to be apologetic about their condition. Yes I am sympathetic towards poor people but that also includes poor from upper class.

Absolutely no sympathy for converts though. They lost it the day they decided to spit on hindu gods to accept a foreigner as their god and swore their loyalty to vatican.

Just because you or your family dont discriminate doesnt mean discrimination doesnt exist. Go and see how many SC/ST people still have to live outside villages, then we can talk about it.

Secondly how am i supposed to know whether you discriminate or not?? Am i just supposed to accept it because you say so?? Im only asking because you keep repeating I dont discriminate. Have you seen the documentaries how the conversion happens????

They are made to spit and pee on the photoes of hindu gods...

They are made to step on them to break them just so that they never go back to worshipping them.

Open your eyes to your surroundings...listen to those who got converted and who dis their gharwaapsi....you will know the lengths these people are made to go to convert to Christianity.

My point was never about the people who convert lower caste individuals for personal gain, i absolutely detest such actions. Everything i wrote was about understanding why people are getting converted. Whats the root cause?? Isnt it the inherent discrimination?? Many didnt even have enough food to fill their stomachs.

And if we truly stop discriminating and eliminate caste based divisions as well as reservation, wouldnt the entire root cause of conversion disappear?? Secondly, if someone converted for something as basic as a 5kg rice bag, what right do others have to mock them?? Society failed them, they had no other choice but to convert.

But obviously, if we are not even ready to accept our own faults, then who is to blame??

Anyway im not even asking you to support or sympathize with them. Just dont mock others or tell them to stop sympathizing. If you dont sympathize, thats fine but there is no need to tell me how to feel. I will do what i believe is right and you can do the same.

Lastly i have watched quite a few documentaries about them. Thats why i understand the real pain of converts and their reasons and also deeply detest those who exploit them.
