If a son or daughter is forced to leave their ancestral house, it goes without saying they'll not have much lingering fondness for that place.
Because of the disastrous reservation system in our country , most UR category people who have any brains are working hard to get the hell out of the country and they'll do so at the first chance they get . And once they do , obviously they wouldn't have much favorable memories or residual feelings for their homeland . Why would they ?? Inspite of their hard work , talent and dedication when they see people with one tenth of their qualifications are getting all the ranks , money , opportunities, jobs, best universities and positions, without putting in any hard work , just because of their caste , it must be heart breaking and creates an extreme bitterness, frustration, disillusionment towards their country that has created and nurtured this system . We can sing all we want about unity during crisis times, but the truth is how is unity possible when there's such blatant unfairness??
Not only huge brain drain is happening , but those who leave how can we expect to have , forget any loyalty, even attachment towards our country?
And the opposition is the one who is airing the fire of whole reservation propaganda, when what we actually need to do is scrap it in totality.
If the creams of our country has to open tea stalls to put food on the table for themselves and their families, then they'd rather open the tea stall in some other country, where atleast their children won't have to suffer the same fate and have all the fair opportunities.
Love and loyalty work both ways , as it should .
I don't think that is true. Most of the Indians who went abroad did not do so because of reservation; many of them already worked big jobs here before they shifted abroad. Some changed jobs for a bigger salary abroad. And it's a misconception that all reserved catrgory candidates pass with lower cutoff; a survey showed that most of them score the general cut-off score.

I wholeheartedly agree with your words about how people from unreserved categories often leave the country with bitter memories, frustration and anger because of the reservation system, how their talent is taken for granted in their own homeland, leaving them with no choice but to move abroad.
But at the same time, its also true t discrimination is a deeply rooted issue in our society. How many upper caste people truly accept lower caste individuals in their social functions, gatherings or intercaste marriages? And how many cases of honor killings still occur?? Even if someone from a lower caste becomes wealthy, they are still treated as subhuman in many parts of the country. This deeply embedded inequality and the hatred it breeds towards upper castes, is also just as justifiable as the bitterness that unreserved category individuals feel toward the reservation system.
Im from an upper caste, a general category. In my own family, especially among the older generation, i have heard things like dont marry someone from an OBC/SC/ST background or dont eat at their house. Why?? Simply because they belong to a lower caste. I have personally argued with my elders many times over this discriminatory mindset.
At the same time, i have lost many opportunities because i belong to the unreserved category, while people with significantly lower grades got those opportunities due to reservation. It used to frustrate me a lot and created resentment. But over time, i also came to understand how deeply rooted discrimination is, starting right from my own home. I began to understand the societal problem at large and thats why i have stood up to my elders about their prejudices.
Personally i believe reservation should be based on economic status. But even if that happens, is there any guarantee that upper caste people will begin to treat lower castes betterbregardless of whether they are rich or poor??
Change has to start with us, the younger generation. Maybe one day, in 10-20 years, when we are the age our parents are now, caste based discrimination will finally disappear.
I also wish the government would remove the caste category from applications and forms entirely but at the same time, they should run strong campaigns promoting equality and non discrimination toward lower caste communities. But will they actually do that?? When votes are still being secured on the basis of caste, is it even possible to eliminate caste based politics and discrimination??
Bold: Exactly this. Caste discrimination is still horrific in the rural areas and hinterlands of many states. And what most people don't get about reservation is that, it was never about economic backwardness. It was always about increasing the acceptability of the SC/ST groups, in spaces historically dominated by upper caste folks.
And most of the people who go abroad are from the private sector, where no reservation is there.

We absolutely need a China type government to transform the entire nation for the better. But at the same time, we also need a leader like a Chinese style dictator, someone who thinks only about the country and its people, without suppressing them completely like in North Korea. Without such leadership, our nation risks regressing to a pre independence state.
Gandhi family is like the Kim family of North Korea. If they ever gain dictatorial control over India, we are done for. The only person I can think of who genuinely works for the country and its people is Modi. If he were given a free hand, he could act with much more freedom, freedom he currently lacks due to democratic constraints and constant opposition. He wouldnt have to worry about winning the next election and the BJP could focus solely on national progress.
I also want Modiji to remove highly corrupt politicians from both the NDA and INDI alliances. Only then can we have real hope. Otherwise, our growth rate under democracy will remain slow. Even if we eventually reach where China is today, by that time China and the US will have advanced even further and the gap will remain constant.
If we ever adopt a China type dictatorship, it should come with a limited timeline, perhaps until india becomes a superpower or at least until 2050.
China type dictatorship would be too much, since ANY dissent against the government is punishable by law in China. I think the present system is better--- i.e. strictly curb any kind of anti-nation statements (or those that favor the enemy country), and monitor the ones that seem to have close ties to people from hostile nations.
This legit seems like one of those horror movies from Hollywood.
