That was the character.

I have a habit to seperate characters from actors.

No Fawad's character in Dastaan was very good, a proper green flag. That show in itself is so much anti Hindu and India (show is based on Partition times)

I really couldn't accept any actor having worked in that show, especially since I have read the novel. The novel though definitely tilting towards the miseries of Muslims due to partition did not paint everyone with the same colour.

The show however had deliberately maligned everything remotely Hindu/Indian

For example in the novel Bano (lead character)'s brother had two Hindu friends. When after partition their family is attacked by the mob these two friends save Bano and her mother (rest entire family is kiIIed) and escort them to group heading for Pakistan.

But in the show they completely changed it, the two friends here weren't actually his friend but were just using him(Bano's brother) when the mob attacks the family, they seemingly save Bano and her mother, but only to later confine them so that they can r@pe Bano. One of the friends take Bano in the room while other was with Bano's mother waiting for his turn. Here her mother reminds him how Bano always considered him her brother and how she herself raised him along with his mother when he was an infant . Here he has a change of heart and then he goes in to save Bano from his friend. He later kills the other friend and takes the two women to caravan for Pakistan.

I would have still thought that it was a creative liberty if the change was only till this point. The main issue here was the other friend (who never had a change of heart and is kiIIed by his friend in trying to protect Bano) is named Ram (the chief Hindu God) in this show, while none of the friends in the novel was named Ram.

All the characters with name like Lakshmi, Parvati were shown as maids.

That was so much of anti Hindu statements that I can't have liking to any actor in the show

That was made in Pakistan which thrives on Anti India, i watched few scenes of aangan
it was also based on partition but dropped it.
Pakistan is the prime example how conversion had rot the brains.

Problem is with Indians . They support and accept everyone with open arms without any discrimination. Most people don't deserve it.
