What a thrilling contest we have witnessed at the Wankhede! The amount of drama this game had witnessed, it deserved a last-ball finish. GT clinch the thriller and move to the top of the table. There were a lot of ebbs and flows in this game and the on and off drizzles brought a lot of drama into the contest. GT put in a brilliant bowling performance with each of their bowlers chipping in. Jacks led a charmed life as he was dropped twice but he capitalized, scoring an important fifty. Also, cameos from Suryakumar and Bosch at the fag end ensured that MI posted a fighting total on a slightly tricky pitch. In reply, it was a rare failure for Sudharsan as Boult nicked him off with a peach. It started drizzling at the Wankhede but the umpires decided to keep the game going. Boult and Bumrah were right on the money and didn’t provide any freebies to the visitors. GT were 29/1 at the end of the powerplay and were also behind on DLS.
