Prabhsimran Singh (Translated from Hindi): I started well, I had a lot of confidence from my last innings. I got a chance early on and I was able to capitalize. There’s no strategy as such, I’m playing the ball on its merit, want to thank the management as well for backing me. I felt I can take a bit of time after the powerplay. When you get set, when you have already scored 30-35, you need to convert it into something big, it’s good that at times Shreyas is doing it, at times I’m doing it and at times, Priyansh is doing it. The score is really good, we have to bowl in good areas and win the match.

Massive score this. PBKS should be very happy. Disappointed LSG walk back inside. Priyansh went in the first over but Inglis came in at 3 tonight and immediately turned it on with a hat-trick of sixes against Mayank. That set the tone and even though he was dismised soon after, Shreyas and Prabhsimran continued the charge. The latter was dropped on 21 by Pooran and that proved to be so costly as he kicked on to make LSG pay for that mistake. Shreyas looked good but fell to spin for the first time this season. Shashank, Wadhera and Stoinis at the end came up with fine cameos to help PBKS post 236. LSG were poor in the field and had they taken their chances, could have restricted PBKS. This is a fine batting wicket and with the firepower they possess at the top of the order, LSG will be quietly confident of taking this close, if not thinking of a win. Stay tuned for the chase...

A cracker-jack of an innings. Arya fell early in the first innings for a change, but Inglis, promoted up to number three, ensured there was no drop-off inside the powerplay. He tore Mayank to shreds and that set the stage for Prabhsimran to also join the party, with Shreyas, Shashank, Stoinis and Wadhera all doing their bits with perfectly-paced cameos. Prabhsimran, though, was the star and even though he missed out on his second IPL ton, there was no denying that his boundary-hitting propelled PBKS to a score in excess of 200.

An indifferent day at the office for the LSG bowlers, and none emphasized that more than Mayank, who was taken for 60 runs in his four overs. Akash Singh was the only bowler to hold his own, bowling his four overs on the trot after taking the new ball and the runs he kept down possibly allowed LSG to restrict (if that is the right word here) PBKS to under 250. It will be a steep chase, there is no doubt about it, but LSG do have some firepower to cause a flutter.
