GT's middle order batting jump

Gujarat Titans had a season to forget last year and among the things that have improved this year is the number of runs they have scored in the middle overs. Their strike rate has jumped from 142 last year to 165 this season, and their average has more than doubled from 26.8 to 61.1.

RR want to finish strong, says Shane Bond

“We're probably out of the tournament in terms of the points table, but that doesn't mean there's not a lot to play for, obviously as a team we want to make sure we finish the season strong and continue playing well,” said RR bowling coach Shane Bond.

Now obviously anyone who is part of the team would say the company line of them wanting to just win matches regardless of the points table and wanting to finish strong and so on, but perhaps the important to note is that RR seem to have accepted the fact that they are not getting out of the league stage.
