Alia is half of Pooja's spunk and charisma (in her peak days)
Half of the performer/actress Pooja used to be.
And Zero of Pooja's intellect and live wire vibe.
Pooja was in different era, social media wasn't prevalent then. All the actresses were catty, not just her. She had potential and was good in couple of films, but the fact is she couldn't sustain her success despite all the opportunities and privileges. She was alcoholic and just leto go. It reflected, she was so overweight in her mid twenties itself. Most of her films were flops.
DHKMN & Daddy trumps all of Alia's films for me. But when it comes to professional success, Pooja is nowhere near Alia.

Alia had no competition as such.
Pooja had giants to compete with....starting with Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Kajol, Karishma , Raveena, Urmila, Tabu, Manisha....
Also her working 90% only in her father's directorials limit her as an actress, and as you said alcoholism that lead to that weight gain.
It has become a trend to pine for the past and older actors/cricketers and diss the current ones. Suddenly even the failed/mediocre/average successful actors become legendary, thanks to nostalgia.

There is no doubt that Alia is cunning. But there is no denying that she is also more focused. Pooja was faded because of her own poor choices, otherwise she had equal means and advantages.
he right, Pooja at her peak was something else. I don't even consider Ali beautifu.l and she is also better actor than Alia

different error, can't compare Pooja time with Alia. She had to compete with Madhri, Juhi, Kajol, Sridevi, Tabu, Urmila, Karisma, raveena, Sonali. who is alia competing with? Anaya?
