Nikhil: "Everyone is praising Axar's three overs in the powerplay and protecting the powerplay score. But isn't it a defensive ploy when you are fielding first? You should attack with your fast bowlers and get a couple of wickets with whatever swing is on offer. This may backfire since LSG hasn't lost any wickets, and both openers are set now."

What to expect: A 200-plus total has been posted only once this season in Lucknow, with LSG defending it successfully. But the other three games have been won by chasing sides, with a target of 181 being the highest successful chase at this venue this season. Teams will be aiming to post over 190 if they happen to bat first here, while chasing will be the preferred option.

Head to head: It's an even 3-3 split between LSG and DC, with a win apiece for both teams at Ekana.

Team watch

Lucknow Super Giants

Injury/Unavailability: Mayank Yadav was one among LSG's substitutes in the previous game, perhaps an indication that he is closer to match fitness. Should he be available for the game against DC, Prince Yadav might have to make way.

Tactics & match-ups: Shardul Thakur could prove useful against Axar Patel, having dismissed him twice in six innings. KL Rahul and Abishek Porel have been dismissed twice each by legspinners this season, bringing Digvesh Singh Rathi and Ravi Bishnoi into play.

Probable XII: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), David Miller, Abdul Samad, Ravi Bishnoi, Shardul Thakur, Prince Yadav / Mayank Yadav, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Ayush Badoni

Delhi Capitals

Injury/Unavailability: Faf du Plessis is unlikely to be back for this encounter, with DC skipper Axar having indicated after the match against RR that the South African is likely to miss three more matches. DC could, meanwhile, consider bringing in Dushmantha Chameera considering his familiarity with Lucknow and his good match-up against Pooran (3 dismissals in 4 innings).

Tactics & match-ups: Axar hasn't been at his best with the ball this season, with just one wicket so far and an economy of 9.36. With Pooran and David Miller having strike rates of 350 and 150 respectively against Axar, DC might use their captain early in the innings, especially against Aiden Markram who has been dismissed by the left-hander twice in five innings. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav has a positive match-up against Pooran, Pant and Marsh, and DC will be banking on the wrist spinner to do the bulk of the damage.

Probable XII: Abishek Porel, Karun Nair, KL Rahul (wk), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel (c), Ashutosh Sharma, Vipraj Nigam, Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohit Sharma/Dushmantha Chameera, Mukesh Kumar, Donovan Ferreira

Chameera to Markram, out Caught by Stubbs!! Holes out! Much-needed breakthrough for DC. 141.9kph, full and outside off, Markram bends his back leg and carves it over the covers. Does well to get under it and makes good contact. But it's the longer side of the boundary and he's hit it straight down Stubbs's throat at deep cover. Markram c Stubbs b Chameera 52(33) [4s-2 6s-3]

Chameera to Markram, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Pooran is in and so is Kuldeep. The latter has a good match-up against the aggressive left-handersmiley37

Zakeer: Still SRH will be the one to win this year. -- Not impossible, but it would take an incredible team effort to turn things around from the position they are in right now.

Ronit: Even MI cannot be ignored. They start slow but once they start winning, its hard to stop them. -- Definitely. MI have a reputation of peaking in the second half of the season.

Ketan: I really liked your prediction of top 4 but somehow, I feel list is incomplete without MI being there. They are crawling back with very less attention, and we know how slow starters they are.
