Rashid Khan: It's good so far, going well so far as a team for us. Pretty happy to be in top half of the table. The most important thing is the support you get from your own crowd, it's one of the biggest stadiums. It's always full, it gives you energy when you see that passion and support. You want to give your best performance for the team. I think it's quite important (team's position on the points table.) That's where the competition starts. You can't take any game lightly as every game counts. We are in a good place at the moment but the tournament will get tougher and tougher from here. As a team you can't make mistakes. You have to be accurate as a bowler. Accuracy becomes very important. The batters back up their skills these days and go hard after the bowlers. As a spinner you will have to bowl in the right areas and get help from the wicket.
The head to head is in favour of DC who have won 3 out of the 5 encounters between the two. Gill, Sai and Jos will be the key as it has been the case for the GT side. Jos has been a little quiet in the last few games. But expect the class to shine through. Gujarat have been helped mostly by the good form of Sai Kishore and Krishna. Both of them have been good and have made life tough for the opposition batters. DC have a few lefties - Porel, Patel and Pant. Sai and Rashid will have their task cut out. Delhi have had opening woes unlike GT as JFM has struggled badly. Pant has been scratchy but Patel got amongst the runs in the last game. Their finishing prowess lies in the hands of Stubbs and Ashutosh. Kuldeep and Starc will head the bowling unit. Not a lot to pick between the two sides and this has the ingredients to be another potboiler.
