And I wonder why. Her hatred and Mannat fixation is far too much to be logical. If it's only to save vikrant for her darling Malla, both the above look too farfetched because as you rightly said, everything's about Mannat for her and she makes sure the entire Saluja household hears this on repeat mode and get convinced of the same.

It's getting difficult for me to understand this.

She's the one who abandoned her and left her to die. Well, now she knows she's not dead but she has made sure her identity as Mannat's mother doesn't get revealed. That's why she tried to kill her own sister. Isn't all this too much? Being a psycopath to just save mezbaani that she tried everything to not even be allowed to open in the first place?

Her justifications are always mezbaani and Malla-vikrant jodi. Both seem so flawed.
