No it was an irresponsible shot. Santner bowled a slow one to deceive the guy and he tried to swing it to the covers, yeh toh hona hi tha. Trying to hit every ball for a six is foolish imo.

The Knight Riders stuck to their aggressive approach, but it proved costly as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

No partnership of real substance materialized for the defending champions, and every move Hardik Pandya made worked wonders for the home side. There were a couple of blemishes in the field from debutant Ashwani Kumar, but with four wickets to his name, he certainly had a dream night.
