Nice to know Malhari Pandey will be playing Surya Dev...

He has played Hanuman before and was cute since that series portrayed him quite young.

Nikilesh played Akshaya in Siya ke Ram.

I too hope there's no excessive drama here but it has already started with Vali's psychotic tendencies, so... No idea...

Definitely don't want to see Sahasra and Shurpanakha drama here too... Once was too much already...

The tridev dance: Rather than their dance, it was their costumes that had mentioned on the floor... Lace shirts and frills... Looked cute in a way

Nagapasha: They might be descendants of sons of Kadru... Sesha left his family and Vasuki was almost kicked out and he took left. Its funny how all these series show the Nagas being devoted to Sesha and Vasuki. Perhaps they reconciled later

Later texts (I think) mention a class of serpents called Uragas who worship Sankashana (a name of Balarama) and the also mention Adisesha to be one of the 4 primordial forms of Lord Vishnu...

And as for the Nagapasha episode (as per Valmiki Ramayana) ...

Indrajeet attacks them when they are invisible. Realising this, Rama sends ten of the Vanara generals to find him and Indrajeet attacks them too. After a long while, getting heavily wounded, Rama fell first. Lakshmana looks at him and laments and then loses hope and then faints...

After this while the Vanaras are dejected Vibhishana says they will wake up soon. Rama wakes up and laments seeing his brother. Garuda appears (by himself and is not because Hanuman brings him) and the snakes run away on seeing him.

I just wish at least one series would show events without distorting...

Looks like Sanjivani storyline.

Their animation and music is great but the story is crazy...

The one who plays Lord Vishnu here had portrayed Rama in Ram Siya ke Luv Kush and Buddha in a series of the same name and also Lord Shiva in a series (forgot its name).

Maybe makers earlier used popular folktales which were effective not fantasy..

This naagpaash and garud coming story I liked in rs ramayan..it made lot of sense actually.

So even if it doesn't match the books it's fine

To me it doesn't make sense that Garuda wil throw a tantrum instead of helping Lord Vishnu when required. The visuals in Shrimad Ramayan was probably good but storyline didn't make sense to me.

Garuda wouldn't refuse a chance to help/participate in Lord Vishnu's work. Besides he wouldn't let go of a chance to feast on the snakes or at least scare them away. It was better in NDTVI Ramayan where Hanuman sings and Garuda comes over.

But, yes, I agree with the extra creatures part...

Zombies, lion clowns and crazy creatures were tiresome to watch...
