What an entry it was for a self-confessed non-dancer… to dance his way into a show and a character, nachenge hero bankar 🔥

A composed. suave, hotshot lawyer with looks to die for - when a character brief feels almost like it is tailored for an actor, success is but half guaranteed. Rohit already looked and felt the part and had the acting chops to bring a nuanced portrayal of a complicated man, ridden with contradictions.

For the first month or so, Rohit tried to ensure that he filled colors within the pre-existing contours as he studied the lay of the show’s emotional landscape.

Soon though, it started feeling like Armaan was undergoing a metamorphosis, shifting gears with his insecurities now buried deep rather than worn on the sleeve, and the writers seemed to be expanding the contours to fit the phenomenal talent that they had now gotten on board. So that was how Armaan 2.0 came to be!

What a roller coaster of a ride this has been …Rohit has made us fall in love with Armaan, made us want to gnash our teeth at his seeming stupidities and break down alongside him during his low points …the only thing Rohit has failed to do is make us hate Armaan …because every time we’ve been tempted to, he’s added a layer to his performance that has made us want to step back and get a sense of the larger picture ..and to decode the triggers that lay beneath the seeming crimes.

So many beautiful moments in these eleven months that have given us so many flavors of Armaan …the obedient son steeped in gratitude, the lover and husband who finds meaning to his life beyond the indebtedness that had been the bedrock of his existence, the warrior who fights selflessly for those he loves but shies away from fighting for himself, the suave lawyer who checkmates the forces within his own home at times, the forlorn little child that still lives on in the mature man, longing for love for thirty years or so …so many moments that have captivated the audience …my favorites would always be the confrontation scenes with his grandmother and also with his wife, the bachelor party night bike ride, the breakdown before the woman he left at the altar as he sought for her pardon even as he tried to explain this overwhelming love that made it impossible for him to think of any other...and so many more ..but most recently, one of the best reunions on ITV…Mummy and her Aaru …the shock, the disbelief, the hope and finally the joy …Rohit brought each and every emotion alive in all its glory …making us root for this pair to be blessed with all the happiness and togetherness they’d missed out over three decades ..

Looking forward to many more months and years of journeying with you as you conquer newer peaks in your creative journey!!

I think the confrontation with Abhira after she lies in court has to definitely be on top of the list!! It was raw, emotional, angsty and RoPu absolutely killed it with each of the emotion through the scene.. Especially when he hears that Abhira hates him and his family, that look of shock and pain in his eyes.. uffff.. it was the first time I felt I could relate to Armaan! And his fear and abandonment issues.. and also probably the start of Armaan realizing that something was changing within!! It was undoubtedly that best confrontation scene.

And a close second or equally on top would be his drunk confrontation with KP!! Uffff... That pain and distraught feeling at having been let down by his own idol and the one he trusted blindly.. it was done so so so well.. I absolutely loved that scene of Armaan and RoPu.. it's not easy to play and deliver a drunk scene so easily and he did it with so much elan!!
