Plus the script writers are a joke. Rashika (wife of Vicky) says to him "I want to be reborn as your mother" like seriously? Are we back to mother workship again? (obviously I'm aware Sambhaji was very ideologically supportive of his grandmother and father/mother but this is a frankly ridiculous line)

Absolutely, filmy folks are super superstitious and Rashmika has had Animal, Pushpa so she was cast in Chhava. Plus she is a lot less expensive than other actors. She will really cut her fee to star in big films . She is a very very average actor with a bad diction. Easy to work with quite professional and tbh she is not looking at meaty roles. She is quite forgettable in all her films as complete focus is on the main character. Don't care about films like Pushpa and Animal

But in Chhava wish we needed the diction and Sambhaji wife who had fire in her eyes. PC was not Maharashtrian but she stole the show by her eyes and expressions.

Someone like Mrunal or a Marathi actor with action and diction and could be hand in hand with Sambhaji because the wife took over completely and Sambhaji trusted her. You needed that raw chemistry and fire to match Vicky which Rashmika could not do.

Ranveer was good in Bajirao and Ram Leela but PC stole the show there.

While with Chhava it is Vicky and Akshay and unfortunately they have been let down by music, Rashmika and a few 20 mins scenes that could have been chopped off.

Otherwise this would have been the next Bahubali.
