A really good movie. It wasn't preachy, but rather just led you through the realizations yourself. It let you see the wrong by yourself.

I can see why this wasn't released in theatres. Our purush samaj would have definitely tried to boycott this film in theatres cause it shows them "in a bad light".

I will say that the climax felt a bit abrupt to me. I get what they were trying to say with it, but it just felt like the director left a lot open to interpretation. I wasn't expecting some massive realization from Mr. Douchebag Husband (maybe that's why my last 2 relationships failed cause I expected too much from the guy in terms of realizing how much of asshole he was), but I just expected a little more in terms of retribution. But then again the climax does reflect our society. Just cause one woman wakes up and realizes her worth, doesn't mean they all do.

I agreed with you BTW mens are avoiding the reality where women felt cheated, heartbroken and depressed even there's a serial with the same concept called dastak where Sohai Ali Abro's character was cheated by Feroz Qadri's character By doing EMA

I hate it when people change the relationship as a mark of showing love- beti ko beta, bahu ko beti, damaad ko beta , saas ko maa, Sasur ko pita etc and I am glad the movie subtly addressed the issue.

How does Sanya scream without even screaming. Her just sobbing or sighing tore at my heart.

Why does Nishant fit in the jackass roles so well(Raat Akeli Hai, Mrs.) 🤣 I was so desperately waiting for her to answer back (even though I know from reels that she doesn't) and was so proud when she asked him if she should dress him up like a school kid too, because that's what I wanted to ask Diwakar's add who needs his wife to out his shoes out for him.

Also, the beautiful writing of pointing out the men's hypocrisy. Diwakar realized that Bubble's husband helps her so steps in to be "an ideal guy who helps in kitchen" but Richa just messes with that attempt, the father in law tries to make karwachauth sound scientific even though it isnt and him saying that fire can purify all food touched by people of lower class because he knows he doesn't have any alternative for 5 days. Also, loved that they wrote him as a gynec, that even though he knows the theory that menstruation is all natural, they use the excuse of "you should rest" so that she doesnt impurify the house, that even though he is a doc, he doesn't understand that in her case, basic anatomy requires her to be turned on to feel less pain and hence him just poucing on her won't help her. The shaming part m surprised wasn't dragged out and they cut it off with "you stink of kitchen"

It's a beautiful (and kinda scary watch, because we have seen it in our homes, have experienced it and even have caused it) watch.

Can't believe Sanya is going to be second lead to Jhanvi in her next, because damn this woman deserves better roles
