I don’t know the state of the industry in your country, but this drama is not as expensive as they claim. I have no idea how much budget production companies and broadcasting channels allocate for dramas, but I don’t think a huge amount of money was spent on this one.

Even the budget for our daily dramas is higher than this. Let me give an example of one of our dramas that also airs on your TV channels. The cost of a single episode of Kuruluş Osman ranges between $700,000 and $1.2 million.

Look, this amount does not include specially designed costumes, effects, etc. For the shooting of this and similar dramas, a special area is prepared, which is called a studio set (plato).

The cost of this studio set is $150 million.

compared to turkish dramas pakistani dramas are very cheap. the most expensive ptv drama ever, dunyapur, costs $1.1 million dollars for the entire series (pkr 30 crore). An average ptv drama budget is $120,000 for the entire series (pkr 3-4 crore). SMD is supposed to be very expensive by ptv drama standards though I don't see where it was spent - as many of the cost drivers such as huge cast, lots of exterior locations, special costumes, special effects, exclusive locations is not present here. the wedding was where i saw money being spent but it was such a waste i felt. also, we don't have special sets made for ptv dramas but they are shot in existing houses/buildings. You'll see same 15-20 houses in 90% of ptv dramas as the owners rent them out just for shoots

I have researched every BTS available and Humsha alone has at least 10/ 11 scenes left based on the number of dresses she still has to wear . When are these scenes coming ? Even Wahaj has some scenes left from the Nov/Dec shoot.

it's orobably one of his filler scenes where he sulks, broods and cries (once again) wearing his nightsuit as the bgm plays.

I can't believe i am saying this but I prefer geo ki purani strategy of stretching episodes by cramming 60% flashbacks after e25 onwards. At least the first 20 25 episodes were still fast paced. Even after that you can always skip flashbacks as new scenes would still be tight and well paced one their own. This strategy they tried in smd since the start to slow everything down including dialogue delivery and mundane details, just ruins the whole product.
