I loved that scene where both were standing outside and Bilal looking at Sadaf and than Sadaf was teary eyed and both said "thank you". It was beautifully done

Unlikeable characters are still supposed to be watchable. Usama' portrayal of Ammar is just unwatchable.
I hated both Talha and Muneeb cktrs in Mannat Murad and Shiddat with a passion (like i want to punch them in the face wala hate) but I didn't think they were unwatchable. In Dastak, Feroz Kadri is playing the selfish, rude, cheating, abusive husband to Sohai but he is watchable.
Unwatchable performances and unlikeable cktrs are two different things . Usama as Ammar is unwatchable.

I don’t think this is true. I have a friend that went through a divorce and they consulted a reputed Imam about it. Reconciliation is encouraged but she doesn’t need to stay with him if he takes the talaq back.Originally posted by: wildflower9

I agree I don’t think we are supposed to like him. He isn’t a positive character. I don’t know if we’re supposed to dread seeing him on screen either though. Negative characters can still be fun to watch and that was required of they were going to give him so much screen time. I personally don’t find Usama’s crying act convincing. He is supposed to be fake crying so it’s ok to look like he’s faking it but his whole act is coming out unconvincingly to me. I blame the director though, he probably told him to cry continuously. This! He isn’t a bad actor but his voice really lacks range and I find his emotional range is a bit limited. So the boringness of watching him in repetitive scenes is further amplified by his monotonous voice. Also his scenes are the same thing over and over and to top it off he’s crying uncontrollably and continuously. Who wants to see that? It is kind of unfair to up his screen time but not give him anything meaningful. People are dreading watching him.

I actually liked the scene too although honestly I find the dialogue hard to decipher but I got the gist of it. I liked their gazes and expressions more than anything. I liked when they were waiting for the car and he was looking at her. The whole sequence was well done. He knows he hurt her and feels bad, it wasn’t his intention but he just isn’t sure what she is actually feeling. He’s longing for her but it’s really important to him that she actually loves him back. He also needs to make sure he isn’t taking advantage of her vulnerability. And Sadaf really was quite vulnerable, she’s feeling so down at the moment

everytime he starts to cry it Looks like he is suffering from constipation since episodes are filled with only his crying it automatically become disastermy most fav part of dinner is from the time she says it’s enough and till they leave.
