let's see what happens. if ammar gets redeemed but loses sadaf, he won't be same as mehwish. KRQ didn't redeem mehwish. there is no redemption after zina.

I like your positivity smiley36

Whatever it is,would be more clear in the upcoming episodes...but its just that my mood is off after listening to all the reviews...

Sometimes I feel bad for Wahaj-Maya..I mean their potential actually got wasted in a drama which is so overly complicated.

I feel like this is what makes it interesting. Even Bilal is unsure of her feelings. He’s in love with her but he isn’t jumping up with joy and accepting her advances. He’s questioning and challenging her feelings. Does she actually feel something or is she vulnerable and on the rebound? He even questioned if one person is unfaithful in a relationship then does it mean the other should be. Is she showing interest just because Ammar cheated on her? Personally I believe Sadaf was in the process of developing feelings for Bilal before she got caught up in Humsha’s lies and manipulations. I do believe she feels something for him and the regret and empathy she feels for him is real. Even then though, the timing is too soon.

Bilal has own issues stemming from his mother’s infidelity. It makes sense for him to hesitate as well. His own misogynistic thoughts came out as well and again probably attributes back to his mother. I also think that Bilal has only experienced love once and may not understand the concept of being able to fall in love again. It sounds like his father never did again after his mom left. He may not understand how Sadaf can fall for him after already being in love with Ammar. Was Sadaf actually in love with Ammar? I know she says she was and put a lot into her marriage but I’m doubtful of how in love she was with Ammar. She kind of forced herself to have certain feelings.

Sadaf is very impulsive and they have showed this time and time again. The one time she didn’t make a decision impulsively was when she ended her marriage. She tried everything to save her marriage but I feel her reputation of having an impulsive nature is working against her in everyone’s eyes.

Everyone is messy in this and have their own concepts of love. I find it interesting but if anyone is expecting and straightforward romance, that isn’t what this is. I still believe this isn’t meant to be massy but is more niche.

@bold: if you think bilal is misogynistic, then KRQ is misogynistic too. bilal's thoughts reflect what KRQ thinks.

Shouldn’t it be the other way around- KRQ is misogynistic hence Bilal’s thoughts reflect his misogynistic views/thoughts ?

I m sorry but I found SH review very distasteful. They have used all these words only to entertain the viewers who enjoy the thrashing of SMD.

"Kisi aur ke thookey huye ko chaatna" is used for Sadaf who has been divorced and rejected by her husband. I m really sorry to say,but in Pakistan right from elite critics to audience everyone is narrow minded. I agree Sadaf has made a mistake in chosing the wrong person over the right one and the regret and guilt is visible each and everytime she interacts with Ammar and Bilal. It was so clear that Sadaf was in a loveless and toxic marriage with Ammar..now if she wants to invest her emotional energy in a person who deserves her love..than suddenly what is so wrong in it? Because she is a divorcee she doesn't have the right to reconnect to the person who genuinely deserves her love?

Many people are predicting that this is a rebound...but I think its a realization which was happening long time back...anyways,these things can be debatable..but the words A&H have used for hero heroine is worse than the dialogues KRQ has used for the problematic characters.

@bold: like it or not, people in pakistan think like this only, including KRQ. you can call it narrow minded or conservative, whatever you like.

I didn’t watch it but they said that about Sadaf? Not in good taste, I agree. Even if she is on the rebound, does that make her a terrible person or a vulnerable one?

i think KRQ is showing her more vulnurable but also somewhat desperate and cringe too

Its most probably about Sadaf reconnecting with BA and Ammar reconnecting with Dania. Both Sadaf and Ammar are rejected pieces of each other. That was the literal meaning.

Only in upcoming episodes it will be understood whether she is really on rebound or its just a realization going on since long time.

This show will receive more backlash because there is a sequence where Sadaf and Bilal both are in Singapore..I dont think Sadaf and Bilal are married by that time...so there will be more backlash about it.

I have stopped watching SH reviews..they are hell bent on criticising and mocking the show each and everytime even if that's a small issue. Only criticising actors for their English accents doesn't make them elite, they should review dramas properly and if they dont want to review than they can stop it.

Now I feel Haseeb wasn't wrong when he said "paid negative reviews" because they get lot of views and money when they criticise it so indirectly they are literally getting paid for reviewing the show negatively.

@bold: i think this is what KRQ showed. after rejection, ammar and sadaf are going after their second choices.

Sadaf was never attractive to bilal because of his reputation of a playboy. When she finds out that bilal is interesting in her, she quickly agreed to marry amar becuse they were friends and knew he was interested in her. and fell in love with amaar after marriage. After her husband cheated on her and became abusive. She just wanted to have an affair with bilal to get back at her husband. That's where the show/ plot stands right now.

(Another factor Sadaf is ready to sell herself to bilal for money because of his reputation but won't marry him. Cause he oesnt fit her descriptionof a potential good life partner)

All those maya and wahaj PS , long eye locks and showing sadaf is confused between amaar , bilal. That she might have feelings for bilal is added by haseeb and company. Notice how there are no dialogues indicating any of that. It's just shots/ visuals added. It's because they sold the project on wahaj's name and romantic, sizzling chemistry between wahaj and maya. Basically public and fans ko choona laga diya.

it means haseeb ruined KRQ script and also damaged sadaf's character by showing those long eye locks.

I don’t agree completely. There is one line that the mom says that she is scared of Sadaf because she sees her interest in Bilal. There is an initial point where she puts her full faith in him and something starts to develop. Granted it died before it had time to flourish thanks to Humsha (and her own biases).

I expected a one-sided romance to be honest. They said that in most of the teasers and quite honestly there was enough in OST to hint that she married Ammar. I just thought they would have more scenes together and I expected more Wahaj. They marketed heavily in his name so expecting to see more of him is reasonable.

Also a screenplay is more specific than people think, It isn’t just dialogue but scenarios and expressions too. I blame Haseeb and production for taking an already slow script and slowing it down further. I feel he definitely added some of the more mundane moments in but I feel like some of those glances were part of the script.

i agree some moments are added by haseed but some of them were a part of script. sadaf was confused when she met bilal in yellow dress one night before her wedding.

you need to see this as sadaf's story and her journey of emotional growth and personal development for it to make sense. as long as you keep thinking this is a love story or a story of bilal and sadaf it will not make sense. the focus is on sadaf's emotional trajectory. she just had a traumatic divorce and she is not coping well with it. she has not come out of the relationship trauma and is still confused, angry, lost, regretful and forcing herself to move on. this is classic rebound behaviour. if you see smd as a story of sadaf and her emotional trajectory, this phase makes sense and why its shown. the role of bilal will be to help heal sadaf's trauma (going by the writng and not how haseeb may execute it) till she rebuilds her trust in people, becomes a more self aware and stronger person. again the focus will not be on bilal or how love grows but on how sadaf heals and recalibrates. marketing this as love story, even one-sided, or a story of sadaf and bilal was a disservice. this was actually a coming of age stry of an impulsive and immature girl who judged ppl too quckly.
