Aish and co are actually broke. Contrary to what Aish says about poor people leeching off rich people, here, the leeches are actually Aish and family. Because grandpa helped papa Vikrant years ago, they are staying for free in his house. They act like they have a right to stay there but in reality, they are guests. Similarly, while they are business partners, without Vikrant's money and push, they wouldn't necessarily have the resources to be a partner because Gagan has gone through a lot of business losses.

So in some ways, it isn't just about Aish setting up her daughter with a rich daughter, it is about ensuring the survival of the whole family. So Aish is kind of trying to sell her daughter in some ways if we think about it. Poor Malla! I hope that she finds a lovely partner for herself who truly appreciates how wonderfully ditzy she is. For me, at least, she is the total highlight of the drama.

Suprisingly simple psychology -- people who are insecure find faults in others because it makes them feel good about themselves.

Let's break it down:

she hates India and didn't want to come; why? Because it reminded her of where she came from and she is afraid to run into memories of her past

She hates poor people. Why? Because she was once poor. So seeing poor people reminds her of her old self and she has never come to terms with who she was. Because she has not accepted her past, she is always at unease with her present and she is more aware than others that it is a false narrative

She thinks friendship with poor people are all about users. Why? Because she too would have used people along the way in order to climb up. So she projects her own actions, thoughts and behaviours onto others. Part of her despises the things she had to do and so she hates herself. However, she cannot admit that to herself. Instead, she projects that self-hate onto the general poor public.

She thinks clothes maketh the man. Why? Because she thinks that unless you have xyz brands, then you are not worth something. So again, this is about projecting. She thinks that now she is wearing xyz designers, she is worth something. Therefore, she has made it and she despises others for not putting in the work to make it...

You get the picture. Basically it is a projection of her own internal self-hate and unease with her past. She is actually a very unhappy woman.

Same thoughts. I didn’t understand one thing when she said that Vikrant wouldn’t dare. I mean how come? You are not his parent. He respects you but that doesn’t mean he will do things as per your wish. Looking at Vikrant’s parents they love him too much specially his Mom and I don’t think she will go against her son if he loves someone or don’t want to marry Malla. Waiting to unfold the mystery of Sonia/ARS.
