I don’t know about one year cancellation but yes, she did use undue influence to get the bail revoked rather than follow due process ..and that is a crime ..the minister was emotionally manipulated ..I would’ve preferred if this had come out in front of someone like say public prosecutor…her career would’ve definitely taken a hit !

I agree, he loves his mom and abhira sending her jail instead of outside settlement made him go mad at her and he finally gave her the divorce. But the point is why don't he make it clear to his mom that what she did was also a crime and it's not something that Abhira made a false story and framed her into conviction, hence all he could do was to give her divorce and he did that. Now this demand to publicly humiliate her and to do a tamasha is what he's incapable of doing as it's against his ethics and principles.
