Caught up on the show and after what feels like forever I actually liked an ITV show. Agree to everything you said but first off a shootout to casting so far everyone fits the role but esp for the casting of sharavan ki mummy and Mona vasu as sisters caz they actually do look like sisters and woh resemblance solid aati hai. I also liked ke this one had no long ass Bhushan in a static spot going in and on and everything came clear but also paced well yum ek kamre main bhi band line main khade repetition pe repetition and ek scene main 5 baar repeat hoti baat nahi dekh rahe..though ab we are over with the outdoor part toh it will be intresting to see how they go from here..Good production values..and I loved the music so much the bg score was just sooo refreshing and different from usual same sounding scores.. both mannag ka happy wala theme and saath main vikrant ki ardaas musics ek dum perfectly balance kar rahe thay woh bhi..uske ilawa I genuinly really enjoyed the way they have set up hero heroine ka milna in gurdwara and then his silences and amusement and woh jo ek calmness thi thruout listening to her not iverexaggerating his reactions na bohat shadows sad type brooding na hiniverjudging one ek dum sa normal sa sab despite her being itni frank even if woh GF main she kept the sar on his shoulder. (See this is where the context is important it looked wtf in the clip but makes sense and in epi it was actually kinda cute ) and also her being awkward about it and apologizing for it too.. i just genuinly liked the way vikrant kept looking and uski personality main jo calmness tha yes very viaan like and I was so pleasantly happy to rich the rich man being sooo grounded right from get go.yes he has all this privilege but he didn't reeks if chip on shoulder or arrogant.. that itself is a win ke ameer hoke bhi grounded ho sakte ho with his spiritual connection giving importance to Baba jo then any materialistic duniyawi thing..and him not being prejudiced And then them building that protection wala connect so nicely that he was her savior right at her birth too usko ache se loop leke aaye to when she froze at thunder and how he comforted her twice abhi tak..it did had the leads wali baat toh usme beautifully shot too . Also throwing in the hook about vikrant too ke who is he what happened that he forgot his past caz he was acha bada bacha when he saved mannat toh aise toh blank nahi hi sakta and then how he became so rich..I belehve he was called Aman in that childhood part when shruti asked the name na.. so intresting hai woh hook bhi and iss liye bhi that both the leads are anjaan from their reality..
I didn't catch what name he was about to give to Shruti cuz he got interrupted then but yes it does sound like he doesn't remember his past in Mumbai as a child....based on episode 4, mujhe lag raha hai he is adopted from India and taken to London but usko yaad nahin hai yeh since he is saying he feels a connection to India despite never having been here before....that is why he only has a hazy memory of that night when he was sailing paper boats and Mannat ko bachaya tha. I like how they've made it an instinctual/spiritual connection....direction was surprisingly good in their scenes considering aajkal ke waahiyaat standards on ITV jahaan lagta hai most of them have forgotten basic direction also.....lol
I also really liked the twist to ddlj wala maa beti scene and unka jo abhi tak connection and oyar dikhaya hai has a very organic flow vibe nothing feels forced so far in all the rishte..I am however not happy about this mala being behan too and uski maa vying for vikrant too but dekhte hain it is a tricky bit caz yeh mala itni dumbbimbo thi in epi 4 ke I felt she might be more like Tia but I still didn't like her as such.. also had to laugh at them straight up lifting actual bolywood heroines ke names bina sharam ke..what's with Aishwarya rai and then uski beti mala ( which is actual pet names of Malaika and she is refereed as that on reality TV too) kuch zyada nahi ho gaya😜 but anyway... keeping that aside i actually do like the leads and the show so far aage dekhte hain. Ayesha surprisingly was sooo much better than whatever we saw of her as sai..yes she is over at places but still the character is likeable but man in some of places it was her awaaaaz that really hurt mg ears esp in that chopper part but I will forgive caz otherwise mannat is a nice character..I do like that she has ambition but she is also allowed to have a life beyond her ambition and she came across as a normal girl rather than super bhashannnni professor ji types.
Haan I was also pleasantly surprised by Ayesha despite her going OTT in some bits....lekin otherwise she has made Mannat likeable with a mix of bubbly chatterbox but a sense of drive/goals also.....cuteness came through and baaki Viaan's bemusement at her antics provides a nice foil/contrast for the jodi.
Haha at Malla wala twist putting you off....yes I know we are beyond tired of this faltu sister sautan angle but I guess I can zone it out for now cuz bade dino baad I liked the intro of koi ITV leads
....Malla is a total bimbo and yes Tia vibes de rahi hai but I'm sure they will make this a messy situation with the BFF/sisters wala angle....lol
The other lulzy thing was her getting out from gurudwara and then bas uss bade se white house dupe mahal main chakkar katooing out of nowhere🤣🤣 thoda toh effort daal lete usko whana laane ki caz come on we know that location ab kaafinuse ho chuki hai..and woh tha kya vikrant ka ghar?? I didn't get that either ya hotel? But chalo jo bhi tha pictured acha tha and thankfully filmcity ki boring locations ke bahar tha fresh tha..
LOL yes, even I was laughing that they used that giant white mahal wala house as a Gurudwara location....kahin se bhi aa jaa rahe the, background mein CGI use karke Gurudwara dikhaane ki koshish kar rahe the....I guess they wanted to get one big location to show everything from a grand Gurudwara to also the spot where the Helicopter is parked....haha it is a pretty big aesthetic location toh sab ek jagah hi nipta liya I guess.
That wasn't Vikrant ka ghar....he just landed the helicopter there to go visit this Gurudwara....lol....his home is back in Mumbai as of now where restaurant ki opening ho rahi hai. Yeh koi fictional Gurudwara dikha rahe the jahaan Mannat bhi aayi to pray and yeh Vik made a detour on the way to some meeting....lol
