Maybe you watched different show then because he never did family jaap. He was a gadha in love

It was Akshara who did family jaap in Gen 3 be it when Arohi hit Manjari with his car or when she ran away and did passport fraud to protect Kairav while Abhimanyu was going through severe depression and anxiety
