Session Highlights: 27.5 overs | 79 runs | 0 wickets. Brilliant rearguard display from the duo of Jaiswal and Pant. Australia were on top at lunch, having taken three wickets but both the southpaws have shown grit and determination. The gameplan for India has been to play for a draw from the outset and they have done a great job in this session in that aspect. Pant has been especially circumspect - that's so unlike him but he is showing that he has a tough mentality. He received a lot of criticism due to Pant gifting his wicket away in the first innings but he has answered his critcis in the best way possible. Jaiswal had luck early on in his innings but he has done well once he has got his eye in. He has raised a fifty. He got involved in a banter with Starc but he has kept his focus while batting.

There was a lapse in concentration from Jaiswal as he tried to be expansive against Lyon and was beaten three times in a row. Apart from that, he has done well. India need 238 runs to win from 38 overs. The required rate is exactly 6 runs an over but it seems a far-fetched idea. I still reckon India will be happy to settle for a draw. Can Australia make early inroads after tea

He has been chasing wide ones with big shots, that's not luck. Luck is when you try to defend and a good ball beats you, chasing and hitting wide deliveries deliberatley is not bad luck

Welcome back, folks. What will it bring? Draw now favourite, but can Australia force it open or can India mount an unlikely victory charge?

Welcome back.. Equation - 228 runs | 38 overs | 7 wickets. This partnership has taken India closer to drawing the game but they are still not completely out of it. They need to keep going for another or so. Australia need to break this stand and then take it from there. Head will start proceedings..
