If as producer you are signing expensive popular TV stars, then making of a 22 mins fiction episode can cost in some lakhs, that too when outdoor locales are involved. The revenues when streaming on popular TV channel & ad slots bring for such an episode vis a vis merely releasing an expensively shot episode directly on YT, won't be substantially low?

It appears Sargun and Ravi have funded and pre-shot some three fiction series with unconventional concepts, and want to release two episodes per week for each series directly on their own YT channel (not even on popular OTT platforms), how is it going to be financially viable?

Yt is popular platform which has wide range of audience around world More subscription more views more ads more profit Channels have restriction and trp pressure but while making online PH don't have to worry abt it. Also online audience are diff from tv audience.

While online audience may be somewhat different from TV, but YT in India gets max views from free subscribers.

Isn't YT ads free for premium customers? guess if producers release FREE episodes for all in public channel, they can get only ad revenue share based on count of views.. if they release premium ads free episodes on private channel, YT may give them share on subscription fee, but not on ads..

Colors is also pulling down daily serials left n right.. Durga launched at 7.40pm as competition to KMTMG, but later moved to prime time 8.30pm slot while Parineeti continued to air at its og 7.30pm slot.
