Shows don’t get that kind of TRP in 2024 anymore. If there was a show that got 3.3 nowadays then rishta would probably not even be in top 10 considering 2.5 lol. The reason it’s more successful is because of the ranking compared to other shows.

Even if online haters don’t add much to the trp as most of them don’t watch it on tv. I’m sure they contribute somehow by posting on social media but makers probably don’t care much. Gen 3 is an example because Akshu was hated all over on IF when she was with Abhinav but makers still chose to make the next gen fl as Akshnav daughter. If they wanted they could’ve made Abhira Abhimanyu’s daughter by showing them dying after their wedding. Could have wiped off Goenkas because they’re over a 100 years old lol and kept Birlas for Abhira, Ruhi and now Abhir but they didn’t do that. Abhinav’s death track literally went on for weeks. It doesn’t look like makers really care about online trolls or haters as much. They don’t even have a problem repeating old tracks from previous generations because they know TRP audience will still watch it. TRP audience always love the female lead regardless and the male lead as long as he doesn’t do a huge blunder. That’s probably why Abhinav was accepted because Abhimanyu’s character was butchered after he kicked out Akshara by divorcing her in such a vulnerable condition.

Read your reply again, you are saying the audience for entire ITV has decreased yet according to you this is more successful season than the one which was watched by a larger audience?

2022 wasn't a decade ago, Anupamaa got TRP of 3 in 2024 🙄

Yes may be..but when rishta had 3+ two times, that time Upma has 4+ and again 3-4 shows easily, even Imlie, ghum, yhm getting 3+ trp that time.. So if 2.5 not big deal now, 3+ not big deal then also

Who told you that 3+ is not a big deal for Rishta considering Rishta touched 3+ in 2022 after 2019?

Highest for Gen 2 was 3.8 in 2018

Who is getting TRP of 4 in Rishta?

Gen 4 got highest TRP of 2.5, no need to compare with other Gens

The decrease has nothing to do with the popularity of the show especially if it has decreased without the show being the reason right? We are measuring it by who is watching it and not by who isn’t lol. The audience that don’t watch tv don’t count.

Yeah okay but the time you’re talking about is when top 5 shows used to be in 3+ zones and now top 5 are in 2+ zones. 2022 is almost 3 years ago and that’s why I said that if today a show gets 3.3 then I’m sure anything below 2.5 would not be in top 10 because they’re always super close to one another. If rishta got 3.3 at that time then other shows were in the same range and not in mid 2s.
