The duo shared a 50-run stand and things were looking good. However, Steve Smith made amends by grabbing an absolute screamer at slip off Lyon to get rid of Rahul towards the back end of that session. Nitish Reddy who joined Jadeja has looked quite good at the crease though and there's still a lot of work to be done for India. They still need 79 runs to avoid the follow-on.
