Yes, it's an unwarranted one!

Isa Guha Passes Racially-Sensitive Comment

Former English cricketer and now a broadcaster Isa Guha is under the scanner and is facing the heat of cricket fans all around the globe. Guha apparently passed a racially sensitive statement on Jasprit Bumrah during commentary on Day 2 of the third Test match. Guha ended up speaking few insensitive words that are not being perceived to be in a very good light.

🏏Australia vs India, 3rd Test: Brisbane, 14 - 18 Dec 2024, Day 3 🏏

India vs Australia 3rd Test Day 3 LIVE Score: India would like to wrap things early on third day. (AFP)

India vs Australia 3rd Test Day 3 LIVE Score: Will rain play spoilsport again in Brisbane?

India vs Australia 3rd Test Day 3 LIVE Score: India will look to get the final three Australian wickets early on the third day of the ongoing third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane and give the visiting batters much game time. After only 13.2 overs were bowled on the opening day due to rain, Day 2 saw no interruptions as Australia made merry of a pitch that offered no turn. While Travis Head (152) brought up his second consecutive hundred in the series, Steve Smith (101) returned to form with his 33rd Test ton.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the lone bright spot as the world No.1 pacer in the longest format registered with his 12th fifer in Tests. The Indian batters save the second innings in Perth, haven't blossomed really on the tour and Brisbane provides them the best opportunity to gain the momentum back.

However, there are high chances of rain on Day 3 in Brisbane. According to AccuWeather.com, there are 90% chances of rain throughout the day along with thunderstorms. However, it remains to be seen if any play is possible. Australia finished Day 2 at 405/7.

India vs Australia Test live: Rain again in Brisbane?

Like Day 1, heavy rains are expected on Monday (Day 3). According to AccuWeather.com, there are 90% chances of rain throughout the day in Brisbane along with thunderstorms.

Isa Guha was trying to be creative and fell flat. She should have thought before using words like that.

Bumrah deserves all the praise and respect one can give, period. He is the most humble cricket player I have ever seen. He is one in a million. I am glad he is in our team.smiley27

Cheers..

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of this Test match. Unfortunately, I am not the bearer of good news because I've just learned that it's been a windy and rainy start to the day at Brisbane. There have been intermittent showers and the pitch has been under covers. That said, the drainage at The Gabba is fantastic. At the moment, it's still uncertain whether we can have an on-time start. It's also been raining in Hamilton some 1500 miles (2400km for my metric friends) southeast across the Tasman Sea and the Test match there between New Zealand and England has also not resumed. The radars do show some pocket of rain that sticks in and around Brisbane for most the day so the waiting game begins I'm afraid.

What a blessing... it's raining!!

Tables have turned in a span of 3 days. On day one everyone wanted the rain to stay away and now we all want it to come back.smiley1

Irrespective of the rain, let us enjoy whatever good batting or bowling our players are going to display. We have already seen Bumrah's brilliance. It is up to a couple of our batters to showcase their talent.

Cheers..

Just learned that it has stopped raining and that all the covers are off, we might well be starting on-time! How long it is before the next interruption though is anybody's guess. For now, the players can be seen warming up, it looks clear and we should be starting right on time. India were battered yesterday primarily by their choice tormentor Travis Head. They looked a little flat and out of ideas as Australia piled the runs on. They really have to be switched on today though and can't let Australia get away with this game any further than they already have. Another interesting question that lingers is will Australia continue to bat on knowing well how much time is left in the game and how much more could be lost to inclement weather.

Gabbagod: "Sitting in my office an hour from Brisbane. Rain coming and going before it will set in about 2pm local time. Big storm predicted for tomorrow .... Cummins has to declare I think."
