It will be a bit comfortable for Indian batters if they can remove Head before Tea. smiley4

Hard-fought session of cricket that. India weren't quite on the money in the 13 odd overs they bowled yesterday but they were spot on today. They bowled with great discipline and it wasn't long before Bumrah had got rid of both the Australian openers again. Khawaja was the first to go after getting a faint edge and McSweeney followed soon after having been caught at 2nd slip. With Smith and Labuschagne at the crease, Australia started to rebuild and were just starting to find some control. Siraj tried getting into Labuschagne's mind with all sorts of antics and it seemed to work as Nitish Reddy at the other end induced a thick edge and had him caught off a sucker ball.

Who wins this session? Australia with 76 runs. India with three wickets. Economy a shade over 2.50 in these 29 or so overs bowled this morning.

India got the early breakthrough on the back of Jasprit Bumrah's dismissals of Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney. Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith then attempted to put their heads down and grind India, but the bowlers kept asking questions. Mohammed Siraj impressed, as did Nitish Kumar Reddy. In fact, Siraj's attempt at a bail-switch-jinx attempt towards Labuschagne worked magnificently as Nitish had him edging a full and wide ball away to second slip soon after. Travis Head has swiftly moved to 20 despite being given some jaffas from Akash Deep while Smith has ridden his luck and soldiered his way to a 68-ball 25.
