I wont put murtasim or salar on the list. Murtu straight up slapped her in the first few episodes itself and salar in front of an entire crowd character assassinated and sl*t shamed Sitara. Compared to that shahnawaz hasnt done anything.

And yes salar he did that cuz he had a misunderstanding that she tried to destroy his reputation and sitara gave him enough tough time after marriage but i donno what mehru done to shahnawaz so i can't say anything about them..i was just seeing reading all of the comments warna tou I'm not even watching

It's a typical drama. Don't expect empowering things from it or even logic or proper flow of storyline .

Normally I don't have expectations from itv/ptv shows but Mehru's character trajectory so far has led me to expect sensibility and fighting spirit from her. Shanno is self-centred and he never cared about Amal but he was intelligent and prioritised the things he cares about such as his image, political career and mehru (I am assuming he wants her forever)...does he not see how his leading amal on can potentially hurt the things he cares about in the long run especially since he knows his mum plans to dispose of mehru post-elections...right now he is coming off as a headless chicken who is trying to run away from his situation at home because he cannot control the women in his life, so he is running to the only woman he can control i.e. Amal. With no monologue about Shanno's plan or how he plans to keep Mehru while giving her all reasons to leave him, the writers are trying to keep the audiences guessing at the cost of butchering his character. The same goes for Mehru, its been long enough for her to start thinking how the hell is she going to fight these people and get justice for her brother...surely she must know they will try to get rid of her at the first chance they get or is she really naive enough to think that by not signing the maafinama, imposing herself on Shanno and taking selfies with Saman Shah is enough to defeat these people?

She should have wore those type of neckpieces for her wedding than the ones she wore.

If you see the neckline of her wedding dress it was quite bold(must've come from groom's side)...I love this look of hers. If its too bold for ptv,..they can just cover the midriff with a heavy dupatta and make her wear this to Rafay's wedding who wont be able to take his eyes off her and Shanno will finally realise how spending time with Amal can potentially make his bloodline extinct...

It hasn't been that long since mehru got to know his true face. We just feel so because we wait for a week for new episodes. It's only been 2 episodes and if we binge watch it we won't feel it being that long. In those two episodes we only got like 2 proper scenes of mehshah. They are just randomly showing the side characters. the only other development is saman shah planning to put these two together to gain more social media followers . She is so obsessed with social media reaction that I won't be surprised if she puts cameras in their room and live stream mehshah for views and engagements .

Neither shanno nor mehru got enough screentime for us to get to any conclusions. Shanno is impulsive and does random things out of anger or desperation and it's been shown in the initial episodes of how saman tells him to foresee things before acting on it. Marrying mehru and now distracting himself with Amal also comes under this. He wanted mehru so without thinking it through somehow convinced his mother and married her. Now that he married her he don't know what to do. He already is in love with her and being with her will only make him fall more for her and when his mother will tell him to leave her he won't know how to handle it. So he is encouraging Amal whose feelings he never cared about.

What is mehru supposed to do when the guy is barely at home. He comes when it's time for her to sleep. She ain't gonna sacrifice her sleep for him. . Same with saman shah. That woman is just running around doing meetings with random people after clicking pics with mehru for social media likes.

Ya. Her wedding lehenga had very wide neck for ptv standards and she was wearing a transparent dupatta over it.

If this is for iqtidar, she surely isn't gonna wear that skirt that low. It will be up like her wedding lehenga with a dupatta covering it.

I want mehru to have a college reunite and her female friends bragging about all the guys who were after her waiting to see her and shanno being restless about it . I rafey is not enough. I need a bunch of guys after mehru. Shanno should feel the heat from all sides.

I am going to extrapolate on what I think Shahnawaz's state and reasoning is.

He was attracted to Mehru in their initial first meetings, a basic attraction because she was obviously outspoken and pushed his button like no one ever has. She intrigued him but also irritated him because he doesn't like not having control and she always had the last say in their run-ins.

In Shahnawaz's world, only three people matter, his mom, his brother and himself. Everyone else is just a peripheral part of this world and as long as they don't hassle or disturb these three, Shahnawaz is fine to coexist with this peripheral part of his world. Even Amal, his uncle and aunt are in this peripheral part of the world.

Then the accident happened. His opponent was someone who already bothered him and annoyed him and no matter what they threw at her, she stood strong and refused to bend. She brought pain and unhappiness to the people he loved the most and in the process also dealt a severe blow to his ego. So he embarked on a plan he thought which will ensure his brother's freedom for ever while at the same time keep his opponent under his thumb for ever with no potential to annoy him further and also to inflict maximum emotional damage on the said opponent. However in the process of faking love, he also started falling in love with her and thought post marriage she will sign maafinama and they will live happily ever after. His talk with his mom before the wedding probably set him straight, his mom told him this is only going to be a fake marriage and Amal will be the only deemed bahu of the house and Mehru after signing the maafinama will be relegated to the not so important bahu, to which of course he agrees because he thinks once the maafinama is signed, he can still keep Mehru as his wife in his life even if he has to marry Amal.

Now with Mehru not signing the maafinama, he knows that once the elections are done and Zain is free, his mom will expect him to marry Amal and that Mehru will be out of his life one way or the other.He does not want to commit his heart into loving her because right now she is just an unobtainable dream even though they are married. The more he spends time with her, the more difficult it is going to be for him to separate from her without pain. So he takes all measures to avoid her. He wants to guard his heart even though he has inflicted pain on hers.

The biggest mistake the director has done here is not to give Shahnawaz and Mehru monologues. In a visual medium like this, we shouln't be trying to infer people's motives. That is not good storytelling. You are not being clever by deliberately keeping things hazy and confusing.

The worst thing Shahnawaz did in my opinion is the emotional damage he inflicted on Mehru on their wedding night. It was designed to give her maximum emotional pain that night.

We have been asking for jealousy scenes from Shahno but we have got from Rafey, Beejan, Urooj, Amal and Mehru. Everyone except for Shahno. At this rate we will even see Saman Shah being jealous.

Which means we'll have to wait for the elections to get over for the story to move forward...because we don't even know if Mehru understands what Saman Shah's intentions are or the fact that her power over them is limited till the time Saman Shah wins the elections (if not anything she could've threatened Shah with a social media expose when he locked her in the room(she has done it before...she'll not do it now but no harm in threatening))

Coming to Shah, I get it that Mehru stumped him in the first night and he is still recovering from that...but if he doesn't stop encouraging Amal, then post-elections Saman Shah will give him a surprise where one morning he will be expected to divorce mehru and marry Amal within 5 minutes!
