As long as our guys stay disciplined, change tactics and implement them, we should be fine.

Cheers..

When Australia bowled out the tourists for a mere 150 on day 1 in Perth, it seemed that all the pundits had called it right and that India would struggle to challenge Down Under this time around. A few days later and the same commentators were expounding the death of Australian cricket after they fell to a 295-run defeat.

Stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah was the difference maker, proving way too hot to handle and taking eight wickets in the match. That was backed up with second innings centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli.

The stage is set for Australia's faltering batters to put the naysayers in their place...

And, we are waiting to see our bowlers to rise to the occasion!!

We're set for another fascinating few days of Test cricket.

Hello and welcome to day two coverage of the second Test from Adelaide Oval. Australia begin the day in a strong position at 86 for 1 with a chance to build a big lead this afternoon if they can bat well enough.

Ponting: "I noticed yesterday when the game started, it was talked about that they had actually cut a little bit more grass off this wicket. What they did, they've actually scarified the surface as well. When you take a close look at the wicket, you can see some green strips that are going straight down the pitch. A lot of these balls are landing right on those green lines and they are actually seaming a lot. A lot of these deliveries pitching right on the line, this one in particular darts back and luckily for Nathan McSweeney, it seamed in too much and was shown to be missing leg stump. It's actually more prominent from this [The Bradman stand] end. If you go out and look at the wicket, and that's where I think India made a bit of an error last night, not using Bumrah from this end. There's a lot more lines, a lot closer together on and around the off stump to a right-handed batter. Interesting to see if India have noticed that overnight. Interesting to see if they change ends with Bumrah this morning. What we saw with Boland and Cummins in particular bowling from this end, the Bradman stand end, that was when the ball seemed to seam a lot more. That's I think a big challenge for the Aussie batters this afternoon and something India will look at."

Himanshu Mehta: "Did anyone notice Ash 1st over yesterday? He got considerable turn and could be dangerous if he gets his line slightly right today. I think India should start with few overs of his spin today" It'd be a surprise if he wasn't used early today.

sunil : "indian bowlers didn't attack the stumps, they were mostly outside off stumps unlike australian pacers?" India's quicks have put some markers down on the practice pitch in the warm up which do seem a little short.

Pitch Report | Sunil Gavaskar and Matthew Hayden: "The sun is out and there's a nice breeze blowing. There's still a bit of grass there, not as green as yesterday. Indians will be looking to take advantage of it and take advantage of the breeze as well. Australians would have used the roller, so the effect of the roller will be there for half an hour or 45 minutes. It still has a lot of live grass on it, it's actually quite spongy. Has started to crack a little bit. This is a very different day. Yesterday was extremely humid and hot. today it has lost that intensity. Very pleasant bowling conditions, very pleasant batting conditions, it's going to be hard work initially. First hour absolutely key for both teams. It's going to be largely all seamers, they have to operate on these conditions, keep patient, keep in line with the stumps. Make the batters play as much as you can."

The players head to the middle. McSweeney and Labuschagne walk out there first as Rohit Sharma has his men in a huddle. Now they head out. Siraj to start from the City end. Labuschagne on strike. Two slips, a gully and a catching backward point.
