Chapter 14

At the Night Piya's House

Piya's POV

How's your day, Sister?, Siya ask me while I am watching the news on the T.V.

Fine, I dryly reply because nothing interesting happened at the office except my self-pity session.

Just Fine, I thought it was amazing as you brought the cookies, chips, and chocolates.

Those things remind me of the moment when the beast saw the snacks on my desk. I am sure that his lips curve up a little with a slight smile but within a blink, his face turned serious. Am I over thinking? Arghh!

What happened to my child? Papa asked me.

Nothing Papa, just hungry

Again?

The question comes from my mother who narrows her eyes on my reply as we all had the scrumptious supper.

Mummy, I mean hungry for the ice-cream

Let's go then

Before my mother can say anything, papa gets up from the sofa and asks us to get ready for a night stroll to the ice-cream parlour.

At the Shekhawat Mansion

I'm bored, Atharv says seeing everyone busy in their mobile, T.V and laptop

This time he whines loudly with a sad face and sits beside Aryansh's mother because she is the most innocent and easy to melt person in the family.

What happened my dear child? Why are you bored?

I am bored and want to go outside for a drive, Atharv replies

Okay, so go. Who's stopping you?, the question comes from the Aryansh

Not alone

There is still time for your marriage Atharv. Until then you have to manage by yourself, Atharv's mom sarcastically replies.

Mom, Atharv makes a weird face and turns towards his aunt.

Will you come with me for a drive, Atharv asks her with a puppy face, which can melt anyone's heart.

No, she is my wife, Ajay possessively answers on his wife's behalf making Atharv sad.

Ignore him, we will go

His Aunt agrees as she is unable to see his sad face while sending the please look towards her husband.

Fine, we all will go, Ajay replies.

What? No, I'm not coming, Aryansh answers as he is busy with some work on his laptop.

We all are going, Ajay orders in a strict tone which Aryansh can't deny so he leaves to get changed.

You need not to be that strict (bhaya) Brother, Sunaina pitches in because sometimes Ajay can be very strict towards Aryansh but he ignores her words and goes outside.

The Shekhawat family goes for a drive without knowing that tonight they will meet some new faces, who might become very known to them in the future.

The Sharma family is sitting in a cosy yet modern ice-cream parlor waiting for their ice-creams and sundaes. Justin Beiber's intentions are playing, Piya and Siya lip syncing the lyrics while swaying their hands. Their mother sighs on their antics and their father is busy taking their video. The order number is called out and Piya goes to take it as she is sitting at the outer side of the table. Their table is inside the parlor whereas the counter is near the entrance.

In her excitement, Piya collides with the person who enters the parlor. Piya loses the balance but before she can touch the floor the other person catches her.

She shut the eyes in fear and her hands held the stranger's shoulders. He holds her waist and stares at her frightened face.

Lovin' you now, a little more tomorrow

She slowly opens her eyes and sees herself in the arms of the Beast. She stares at him in fear and confusion, and thinks what he's doing here.

Her mind raced with hundreds of thoughts which imagine him following her to give more work or to scold her for missing any work in the evening or to find himself a scapegoat to let out the frustration.

Third Person's POV

Piya slowly opens her eyes and sees herself in the arms of Aryansh. She stares at his eyes in fear and confusion, and thinks what he's doing here.

Her mind raced with hundreds of thoughts, from imagining him following her to give more work to scolding her for missing any work in the evening or came to find himself a scapegoat to let out his frustration. Well, imaginations don't have any limits.

Aryansh doesn't know what's happening but he wants to hold her. The background noises make them realise their positions. They correct the positions and stand straight but their hands are still at their original place.

One's eyes are in fear and the other is in shock. Aryansh sees someone entering the parlor so he brings Piya closer to him. She also moved near him in the haze.

Seeing these two drown in each other, Shekhawat makes cough sounds which brings them out of the reverie and they both distance themselves. Finally!

Before Piya can escape, the Shekhawats surround them to quench their curiosity as they all saw the statue moment which happened earlier. The only question that is going on in their mind is *Who is she*.

Fortunately for Piya, her family is sitting inside so they didn't see anything otherwise they would have also surrounded them.

Hi Piya, to satisfy everyone's curiosity, Atharv breaks the silence.

Hello Atharv

Piya replies with a smile but that vanishes after seeing the other people's reactions.

This is Piya, Aryansh's mother, aunt and grandmother voice out in surprise.

The New Intern, Digvijay Shekhawat narrowed his eyes in an understanding manner.

Hmm, Ajay hum to answer their questions.

What are you doing here?

Atharv tries to make the atmosphere normal but sees Piya's reaction which says, Are you an alien to ask such a question. What I will do in an ice-cream parlor, obviously eating ice-cream. He corrected the question.

I mean how come you are here at night ? Ice-cream night with friends?

No, I came with my family, Piya says pointing inside.

Piya is clueless and doesn't know what to say except the hello. They are her boss's family and ignoring them will be an insult but she doesn't have the guts to speak to them.

Hello, everyone answers at the same time which makes her more afraid to say anything else.

Do you work under Aryansh? Sunaina asks.

Yes, Mrs. Shekhawat

Does he scold you? Padma Shekhawat asks

Her question lifts Piya's mood and she thinks that this is the time to let out her misery but she feels an angry glare from her boss.

No, he doesn't scold, Piya hesitantly answers but she continues. He expects strict professionalism from everyone otherwise they have to face the repercussions.

She gets angry vibe from Aryansh. She hears her order number calling again and leaves the place.

Excuse me, my order number is being called out. It is nice meeting you all.

Piya takes the order and goes to her parents.

Her actual test starts when the Shekhawat family come and sit beside their table especially Aryansh and Atharv are sitting parallel to her. Piya behaves as if she doesn't know that they are sitting beside their table.

Siya happily chirps without having any idea about her sister's situation.

What happened Piya?

Her father asks when he sees her silently eating. Earlier she was singing songs and now she's in pin-drop silent mode.

Nothing Papa

Piya glances at the beside table and sees Atharv enthusiastically waving his hand. This is the first time when Piya wishes Atharv to be like the beast who completely ignored her presence as she is a stranger. Atharv's extroverted personality is making her afraid of her family's reaction.

Do you know them? her mother asks as she notices the Atharv's gesture.

To avoid the unnecessary confusion and lies, Piya replies.

Yes, Mummy, they are my bea.. (stopped herself from realizing that she was going to call her boss, the Beast, in front of her family and him, who pretends not to know her but can hear her)

Really? Excited Siya asks . Are they "The Shekhawats"?

Piya nodded her head and Shekhawats can also hear the little bit of their conversation. To avoid the misunderstanding Atharv goes to greet Piya's family

Hello Mr. & Mrs. Sharma, I'm Atharv Shekhawat.

Aren't you too young to be her Boss? Siya asks

No, I'm not her Boss. Her Boss is my brother, pointing towards Aryansh.

Okay, sorry, Siya Apologizes

When Aryansh hears his name, he goes to greet Piya's family which shocks his family because he doesn't like to talk with strangers unless related to the work.

Hello Mr. & Mrs. Sharma

Aryansh greets them but regrets the next moment on seeing Mr. Sharma's glare. Piya noticed her father's hard expressions and whispers.

Papa

Hello Mr. Shekhawat

Piya's father replies without the smile, which he was giving to Atharv.

Aryansh feels bad but seeing his face one can say that he doesn't care about Mr. Sharma's opinion about him.

I hope you all are enjoying it. I heard so much about this place ice-creams, Atharv, the ice breaker, interrupts.

Yes, they are really good, Siya answer.

Great, bhai (brother) shall we place the orders?

Yes

They both go away from the Sharma family table. Piya sees the Shekhawat family and gives them a smile who also reciprocates.

After some time, Piya realizes that she forgot her phone in the car and tells her parents that she will go and get it.

Her father insists on leaving it in the car as they will be leaving in sometime but Piya persists for getting the phone back. Piya is thinking of ways to escape this place before the beast arrives. Her phone in the car gave the best opportunity to put the escape plan into the action.

Fine, you go and get your phone, at last her father allows her to leave.

One more person notices the Piya leaving the parlour and decides to follow her.

I have a call to attend

Aryansh says and leaves the parlour from the other side before Atharv can ask anything.

Do the brothers talk about Pia at home? The family was quite interested in knowing about her.

When the beast showed up, it took the fun out of ice cream for Pia. It was awkward with his whole family there to watch.

Chapter 15

Piya's POV

I found my phone in the car but decided to wait in the parking lot for my family so that I do not need to face my boss and his family.

A minute later

I deeply regret my previous decision because someone pulls my forearm and takes me to the backside of the car.

A cold and familiar manly voice stops the next word.

My eyes pop out in shock and I gulp the saliva in fear after seeing his angry eyes. How much I try to stay away from him but still he manages to come in front of me then starts behaving as if I'm haunting him.

Noo S..ir

I say many things and how will I know which one he's referring to.

What was that Bea....?

I'll be dead now. How I wish that he didn't hear me but nothing can be done now so I try to alter it.

As I realised that I called him beautiful, I blabber something which makes him more furious.

His intense eyes burn with the need for revenge which is not new for me. It seems that I unintentionally hurt his manly ego. Before I can rectify my mistake, he invades my personal space.

I try to move aside while raising my hands to push him away but he holds them and loops them around his neck. His hands wrap my waist like a snake.

I didn't say plain Sir but just a normal guy, I tried to correct him but it backfired on me.

Our faces are way closer but he still continues with his questions.

This is not the time for fumbling Piya, you have to take the bull by the horns. I mean I have to directly deal with the beast or bull whatever.

How dare you? What do you think of yourself? Do you know who I am, I'm Aryansh Shekhawat and no one dares to mess with me the way you do, Piya Sharma.

This is the first time I am hearing him call me with my full name. I don't know why it feels weird. I am sure that this is not a good way of weird. What is a good and a bad way of weird. Weird is weird, right?

He narrows his eyes on my reply and lifts my chin with his thumb whereas my sole concentration is to move away from him.

He put pressure on my chin with his finger. I also hold my head high this time and answer him, same here.

I mean, yes, I don't know you so how can I know what you can do. It's not like you told me everything about what you can do. As you didn't tell me what you can do so I don't know what you can do. Then why are you asking me what you can do.

He put the silencer, I mean his palm on my mouth to halt my blabbering. I thought of biting his palm and pushing him away but before I could execute my plan, he pressed my waist and said

I pouts and gets jealous of his mind reading talent. A minute later, he removes the palm from my mouth but still occupies my personal space with his unwanted presence.

Once again he lifts my chin and I don't know what he's trying to find in my eyes. I hear some voices and it doesn't take me a minute to realise that it is Siya's voice. That means my family is coming.

Sir, please go. My family is coming I request him but he doesn't budge from his place.

I don't know what makes me call his name but he pulls me further closer instead of moving away. We are in each other's arms now.

I close my eyes in fear of getting caught by my family. Again I feel him bringing me very closer. My face is hiding in his neck. Suddenly he moves away and leaves me alone in the parking lot.

I run and stand in front of the car.

Aryansh's POV

My family sits at the table beside the Sharma's . I can hear their talks especially when Miss. Sharma is telling them about us. I want to know the complete sentence of her, what is that word Bea... Is she calling me Beast?

I go to meet her family as she tells them about us. Her father's reaction to my greeting is not surprising to me because a few days back she was complaining to him about me and my rude behaviour towards her. He seems to be angry with me for making his daughter cry.

Later, Atharv and I go to place the order and I see Miss. Sharma is going out for some reason. Without any rationale, I follow her from the other side of the parlor. I see her standing in the parking lot near a car. I take her to the backside of the car for privacy.

She calls me "beautiful" and that's the weirdest compliment I ever received in my life.

Normal? From which angle I look as a normal guy? Didn't she know the word "Handsome"? I'm not exaggerating but I have a good physique and am a good-looking face, thanks to my genes.

I move closer to her but when she tries to push me away, I pull her with more force and wrap her waist.

Her name, Piya, sounds nice and pleasing to my ears. If I recollect the past I always called her Miss. Sharma. Calling her Piya sounds good and correct but she calling me a normal guy doesn't go well with me. This girl is not the easy nut to crack. She is skilled in covering the mistakes and in confusing the people.

I lift her chin up with my thumb and mentally notes that she has very soft skin. Her fumbling and heavy breathing is now tormenting me. I come here to confront her for calling me the beast but not to drool on her.

I don't forget the insults, Piya Sharma, I put more pressure on her chin whereas she held her head high and answered, same here.

There she goes with her confusing talks. I put my palm on her mouth but notice her mind racing with the various thoughts on how to push me away. Before she implements any weird plan, I warn her.

I remove my palm from her mouth but still stand closer to her.

To feel her soft skin, I lift her chin and watch her eyes to see if she is also sailing in the same boat as me or not.

I hear some voices but Piya recognizes the owner of those voices and starts pushing me. Why is her family coming so early ? Couldn't they enjoy it for some more time? I should have told Atharv to indulge them in talk.

Something happens when her scared and tensed voice calls my name. Subconsciously, I pull her closer to hear my name again from her lips. Later, I leave the place to avoid giving a shock to her family.

Third Person's POV

Where were you Aryansh?

On call Maa

Aryansh comes back and sits with his family, who all are looking at him with curious eyes to decipher his hidden secrets relating to the new intern.

Hmmm, by the way Mumma, that new intern is not bad so it seems that our Aryansh is unnecessarily strict towards her

Sneha Shekhawat, Aryansh's mother, tells her mother-in-law and notices her son's expression which is blank like always.

Why are you interested in her wifey? Do you want her to be your daughter in law? Well Atharv may look good with her

Ajay Shekhawat tells his wife but his target is to bring a reaction out of Aryansh, which actually happens when both the Shekhawat boys choke on their ice cream.

Cough cough

What happened to both of you? Ajay fake sympathizes.

Uncle she is older than me, how can you think like that?

Age is just a number, Son, Rajesh Shekhawat replies to his son, siding with his brother.

Aunt

Atharv's whines because he is very well aware that only one person can put a full stop to elder Shekhawats talks.

Ajay says but his eyes are still focusing on his son whose grip tightens on ice-cream cup with a cold expression.

Ajay, Digvijay chides his son as he understands that he is teasing his grandchild.

Eat the ice-cream son and don't think about your father's words. What you want will only happen.

Aryansh gives a smile to his grandfather for understanding the unspoken words and then faces his father who raises the eyebrows in return.

Maa, Dad ate one full slice of cheesecake at the office today.

Aryansh takes the revenge on his father for troubling him.

Ajay's sugar level easily gets high so he should not eat the sweets with high sugar. His wife, Sneha, is very particular about that. She can bear anything but not a compromise on her husband's health.

ARYANSH

Ajay shouts at him for destroying his night. Now, not only Sneha will ignore him but she will also kick him out of their bedroom. Poor him.

Tonight you can sleep with me in my room Dad, Aryansh teases his father while trying to hide his Smirk.

Digvijay Shekhawat laud his favourite grandson and everyone laughs when they see sneha changing the seats and sitting beside the Aryansh.

After sometime they all leave for home. Ajay tries to apologise to his wife but nothing works on Sneha.

Chapter 16

Piya's POV

We all came back home and fortunately no one talked about my boss and his family.

While laying on the bed I'm reminiscing about my moments with Mr. Beast. I'm closing my eyes to get the sleep but I'm seeing his face. He is just my boss more specifically the Beast boss, who didn't leave the single opportunity to torture me.

I'm unable to forget his today's act. Why did he come and hold me like that. I should be angry but I am feeling as if I touched the wire.

I may be overthinking and he actually came out to let his anger on me. I don't want to confess but I didn't feel bad when he held me. I was more afraid of my family's reaction to seeing us instead of having a moment with him.

His finger on my chin and his hands on my waist fumbled me. What's happening to me. Is it because this is the first time that some man held me.

Arghh. I'll sleep instead of thinking about anything else, otherwise I'll get crazy.

Aryansh thinks the moment when her hands are wrapped around his neck. He stands in front of the mirror and closes his eyes to feel her again but the knock on his door brings him back to reality.

He sees his father standing with an annoying look and he does not need to guess that today he will be sharing the bed with his Dad.

Welcome Dad. Hope you have a good night. Aryansh lay down on his bed to sleep.

I'll not spare you, Ajay murmur and doze off.

Next day morning

Piya's POV

This morning I'm in a rush to reach the office on time. Also, I'm a bit apprehensive due to last night's encounter with the beast but decided to forget about it.

At the office

I enter the cabin and feel relieved to see it empty. There is no presence of the beast, who always makes my life hell in the morning.

This is actually called a sweet and happy morning

I voice out my innermost feelings and someone whispers in my ear

I shriek in fear. My legs twist due to the sudden turn to see the creep who gave me the chills. Before I fall, I'm wrapped in my boss arms, once again.

I heard that history repeats itself but never realised that it repeats this fast.

This time no need to get drowned in his eyes, Piya. His eyes are not special though they are big, round and mysterious.

I don't see him making any movement and like a dummy I'm blinking my eyes and staring at him with the hope that he will come out of his statue mode by himself.

I cried in pain because he left me, scratch that, he dropped me on the floor.

What Miss. Sharma?, he gives me the annoying look as if I'm disturbing him.

Why did you leave me?, I asked him while sitting on the floor.

Miss. Sharma you should make up your mind. You asked me to leave which I did.

He shrugged his shoulders as if to drop me on the floor is not a big deal.

When I said leave I didn't mean you to drop me on the floor, but to help me to stand.

Don't know what switch my boss has on the back that he becomes a devil in seconds.

Beast, I murmur but subconsciously my pitch was little high and aptly audible to him.

I shriek again and lean back when I see him on one knee to have face to face with me.

His pressure on my chin increases along with his voice. I decided to take the matter into my hands. I bring my hands up and remove his hand from my chin with the force.

I gave him a winning smirk but in return he raised the eyebrows and pointed the eyes down.

Then I notice that I clasp his hand in my hands and keep it on my lap. Well I only know that his hand is near my navel and ...

I yell and throw his hand away. Immediately I stand to have a good amount of distance between us.

From every angle, I murmur.

Before he can shout further on me, someone comes inside the cabin.

Why I'm hearing noises so early in the morning. Are you two kindergarten students?

Mr. CEO shouts. It seems that Mr. The CEO woke up from the wrong side of the bed today.

Ram, he yells and Mr. Ram instantly appears in the room as if he is waiting for the CEO's order.

Two voices echo in the cabin. One with frustration and the other with happiness. You can guess the owner of those voices by now.

For giving me the relief from your tyrant son. I can't explicitly say that to him but I believe he understood my unsaid words through my expressions. I wholeheartedly thanked the CEO with a bright smile for giving me independence. "Ache din aa gaye" (good days have come now)

The senior Shekhawat and Ram leave the cabin and I happily go to pick my bag from the desk but when I turn, I see him, furious junior Shekhawat, with a tighten fist hovering over me, again.

There are no hmm or angry words from his end. He probably goes into deep shock. I try to do what a smart person is supposed to do. Move aside and leave.

The moment I turn, he keeps his hand on that side of the table and stops me.

Okay, he may need something to balance himself. I'll go from the other side but again the same thing happened.

Now he raises his head and meets my confused eyes

Piya's POV

He doesn't have anything new to say so he repeats the same thing again and again. If he wants to repeat then he should do it when he is alone.

Why is he trapping me in between his arms and monologues. Don'T know why I'm having goosebumps and the heavy breathing. Am I Claustrophobic? This never happened to me before.

Junior Shekhawat raised my head with his finger on my chin. I try to see the side from where I can escape him but there's no escape route.

He uses his mind reading talent and pulls my face towards him.

You look very happy, Miss. Sharma. Are you that delighted to work under Ram.

My heart and eyes are screaming yessss while doing cha-cha but I have to be polite to my ex Boss.
