Peer e Kamil is my fav novel too. And Salar translation from an atheist to a momin was heart touching . I wish that novel is adapted in a show.. they can make few changes. Many Pakistani drama writers make shows inspired from PEK. They wrote characters similar to Salar.. even Umaira Ahmad herself wrote the ML character in Alif in the same way she wrote Salar.

I don't know if I have insomnia as I sleep early in the evening, and wake up later. I am glad I don't have to go to work every day.

Yaa they can make i think.. it is one of the most popular urdu novels of this era .. so it would be awesome but it would be hard to match the level of og salar sikandar.. he was best..

I was watching that episode where Qasim comes back after getting fired and wants to get married to sitara again. Here too he was gaslighting his mother that he came back because of sitara. He never told anybody that he got fired. And he was trying to convince his mother to take his rishta and sitara will be so happy that he left his job and luxuries for her. Bhai that banda was sach me toxic, we falled to notice him in earlier episodes because out of all the rishtas har family brought, he seemed like a better choice. But now that i am watching it again,he had remained a very consistent character. Gaslighting and manipulation is his way to deal with things and his grandmother blind support is so annoying but so real. Patriarchial women have blind faith if the chold is male and eklauta. They feel thag hhey are some kind of gift from god and can go around doing whatever they want. That's how these guys hust don't realise their mistakes. I have respect gor suraiyaa as well. She remained upright and always called spade an spade. Also, i am watching pist marriage scenes whee i skop annoying sitara, and it's actually not that bad. I am plannnng on skippin Nani's death episode because i just wnat to forget something like ghag really happened. I ahd no one to talk about mh ideas, so i just came here to vent. Thanks for tolerating meee😭😭😭

@bold - I'm re-watching it and have noticed all the characters remained consistent. Like tahir from the very beginning is shown to love n care for salar, but is shrewd in his business dealings. Also a funny observation - tahir was very protective and supportive of salar n would do things in a highhanded manner as he cared for salar, exactly like how salar used to do for Sitara. 😂

@green - IKR she was such a wonderful person. Another one was Zoya. Now re-watching it and Zoya did make efforts to have a healthy relationship with her in-laws, but she didn't take crap. Also she knew Sitara was being wronged n made efforts to help her in Qasim matter n later being against her marrying salman n ofc informing salar.

Yes Qasim was selfish and manipulating from start. Maybe thats y salar took so harsh step to kick him out of sitara life. Wese bhi salman ki relative mein koi bhi sahi nhi hau, salar realize this..thats why he become protective of sitara. Kyunke sitara ki aankhon mein to patti bndhi thi. Each and every character were perfect from the start...zohaib k track ko sahi handle nhi kya unhune... In the last they ruin everything, sb se zyada sitara k character ko ruin kya hai...wo hi change hui baki to sb wese hi the

I started it last night too, in english. Urdu reading make me tired. Salar ki yaad mein start kya hai...as I read in comments k kuch characters mein copy hai . Acha tell me, it has only one edition? Writing style scenes type hai..novel type nhi

Btw the most funny part of Tai's realisation was that not only sons could be your budhape ka sahara, but a son-in-law like salar could also be that. 🤦‍♀️😂
