Hahaha the film star maya has two superhit movies to her credit and is onboarded on another high budget movie. Her music video with azaan is one of the most watched music video of pakistan.

And can we talk about Yumna's debut film as well? She promoted it regressively only for it to tank hard at the box office. Even reviewers like aamna who never shy away from praising her to skies criticized her movie, her acting and her styling.

Yumna is the best actress of the generation but sadly she couldn't pull audience to watch her show with superstar humayun, care about talking about their chemistry? Everybody knows they were a highly mismatched pair and the show was so badly written that it became the biggest disaster of both humyum's career. Yumna doesn't even want to be associated with it now.

Care to think why and how even after delivering sucha huge bb tb, yumna has been giving back to back disasters? Well looks like tb did no good to her in terms of popularity, infact audiences arent interested to watch her shows or movies.

Atleast people are watching smd for wahaj, that's what he has earned from his bb show tb and his popularity from it.

That time views didn't matter much, it was more about ratings.

But now the times have changed, even if the show gets high viewership on yt and less on tv it's still hailed as a bb. Pak dramas are now targeting Indian audience's to get more viewership on yt.

It has more views than Ishq Jalebi and SMD has more views than Bismil but we are not talking about views while considering SMD a flop already

They said Ishq Jalebi was not a hit while Geo has clearly given "Superhit" verdict

Sorry to interrupt you guys but back to back disasters? Correct me if I'm wrong, but she only did one show after Tere Bin.

Yes so Raaz e Ulfat was a hit trp wise! Bakhtawar also got the highest trp for HUM TV in 2022 (12 trp). Sinf e Ahan also did well in trps. Can we also talk about the numerous critical hits I.e DSHS, Pyar ke Sadkay, Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Parizaad, DNUTN. All back to back critically acclaimed dramas!

SMD has YouTube views which are decent but going by the past 4 esiodes with trp ratings in the 5 mark it’s not getting the audience approval is it? A very big disappointment from the launch of the drama and for a signature project.

Yumna has always had the audience pull from her critical hits. Reviewers have numerous times mentioned this. TB was tuned in the beginning for Yumna because she was the bigger name! She’s done ONE drama since TB and that too on Green channel. A channel Wahaj also did a drama for that aired AFTER TB but still he didn’t bring in as high ratings as the top 3 Channels did he? MPHT and Mein were trp and YouTube hits but he didn’t manage to make the mark with audiences and reviewers like he did with TB. In fact since TB Wahaj hasn’t made a mark in any of the dramas and reviewers have been looking forward to SMD for his COMEBACK.

Coming to Maya’s film hits I think you’ll find Ali Zafar was the audience pull for Teefa and wasn’t she snubbed in the nominations for awards because let’s be honest she was nothing but a pretty face in that film. If Maya was such a MASSIVE film star why did she have YOUTUBE and TRP flops BACK TO BACK in 3 dramas?! All 3 TIMES she was the BIGGER STAR but yet she FAILED to bring in the audience aka Pehli Si Mohabbat, JBG and Yunhi. In fact SMD will be the FIRST drama where she will have some DECENT YouTube views because all her other dramas have FLOP VIEWS 👏

For her pretty face yes but if it solely relied on acting talent she’d get zero opportunities but that’s not how the industry works does it?

Final trp was high only because it ran without competition

Chupke Chupke ended few episodes before Ishq Jalebi

Also I was not aware of trp so I am wrong there,but the difference in trp is not that much when they telecasted together

i heard Hassan Aamna saying maybe in terms of views

They mentioned ishq jalebi failed to create the buzz as chupke chupke

And tbh I liked Ishq Jalebi more but it was no where near chupke chupke in views

Same as chaudhary and sons and hum tum

Hum tum is considered a success while not one considers chaudhari and sons which was a better show
