Interesting to note the Dharma absence. They never really seem to deliver these big blockbusters. Any theories?

After Karan took over Dharma productions in 2003, only two movies (produced) got Blockbuster status (before, it had been under Yash Uncle) - Ranbir's YJHD and Ranveer's Simmba.

At the time of KKHH (ATB) and K3G (Blockbuster), neither the ticket prices nor the available screens would give entry into a 300 cr club...

Looking at the 300 cr movies, they assemble the same male leading stars Aamir, Salman, SRK, Ranbir) or are a sequel of a successful movie (Gadar, Stree). Except for Ranbir, Dharma didn't fall under this pattern.

So, it's YJHD then. Still, it's interesting how the "hottest" brand of Hindi film industry can barely produce blockbuster films.

Under Yash Uncle, Dharma wasn't a 'hot brand' at all. It became hot through the Karan directed movies with SRK (collaboration Yash Uncle and SRK starting through Duplicate...collaboration with Karan starting during DDLJ shooting).

After 2010, the "hotness" of "brand" Dharma got a change (although SRK still gave some input in Koffee with Karan in January 2011 - with a quite revealing statement - and in 2016 with Alia promoting Dear Zindagi and a more 'healthy' kind of 'nepotism') ... a change that (imo) also took over Karan's public personality...the beginning of what I would call 'the Dharma decline'...
