Bilal, Sabeena even the actress who played Shabbir's mon were good in this episode.

It looks like the moulvi suggested them the valid way of halala nikka but shabbir most likely was the one who didn't listen as he wasn't even ready to admit the talaq.

One thing I couldn't tell is if the moulvi helped them escape or he was genuinely unaware of their plans.

What I didn't understand was if the moulvi was simply stating the religious edicts as facts or if he was giving a suggestion that they made into a plan. It doesn't look like he helped them escape because he seemed confused to find Ibrahim's things still there. He was assuming that these two are heading back to Shabbir's house.

I loved Sabeena’s performance today. Bilal has just entered into the character fully. The body language is that of a submissive man. Gohar is brilliant as Shabeer so was Asma ji today.

I’m loving the dark frames, don’t know why smiley36

I am still not quite understanding Aaliya's character sketch. Shabbir's mom said that Ibrahim was a man who cannot run and neither is Aaliya. Basically she was saying both are timid people who cannot stand up for themselves.

So perhaps that would be why she stayed during the iddat period and didn't tell her family? It is unclear what prompted these two to run. Was it shame? Aaliya was quite fierce when she asked, "which husband?" and then told what happened so briefly. So where did this courage come from? Is she just mad?

One thing that comes across is that lack of communication can really hurt you. If you are going through something, then you need to inform your family. Don't spring it on them unexpectedly because they won't understand or offer adequate support if they have no clue.

However, I hope that they do lighten the lens when we see some romance. If we continue to see only dark frames, then we can assume that we are in for a tragic ending.

I am going to hold onto my delulu of this having a happy ending because of that happy marriage wala scene which I'm hoping will not be a dream sequence...smiley36

Shabbir's mom asked him if there was a way they could resolve this since he was someone close to the family and they obviously didn't want any scandals. I think he was just making her aware of the legitimate way they could solve the issue and Shabbir then went ahead and made the plan afterwards...

Yes, I started laughing when the mom clarified that the "daughter" who died was the cat. The frames are so dark, there is no music, everything is morose and there you have this absurd detail that he got mad because of a cat's death. 🤣🤣

From the promo, her sister-in-law didn't believe there was a talaq and another nikkah. Imagine if she said this trouble started because of a cat! 🤣

Her sil might be more willing to believe Shabbir and not Aliya.

Whether it's one talk or three, girls should leave the house if their husband doesn't want them. What's this remarrying a guy who disrespected you to this extent smiley29

I don't love the dark frames but I don't mind them here so much I guess because it is a dark story so somehow it fits unlike in many dramas where they just use it for some vintage feel unnecessarily.

She’s playing Aaliya so differently than how she played Barbeena. Ibrahim has no resemblance to an Abdullah, Qasim or a Fazal Bakhsh. They are nailing their roles.

I agree. The dark frames go well with the vibe of the show.

You can tell Aliya is someone not very strong from the first episode itself...she was hesitant to meet her friend and she was genuinely afraid when she got back home and saw her husband has seen the video. But sometimes timid people will also reach their breaking points at some point. Talaq and Halala and escaping in the night had to have a toll on her so that outburst wasn't that uncharacteristic for me. I hope we will get to see more of what prompted them to decide to escape in the upcoming episode...

They might have gained some strength from each other as both of them are currently victims of the same man.

She looked like a living corpse when her MIL asked her not to let Shabeer touch her again. She probably took that time to process what had happened to her. Or may be there is more to it. They’ll unfold it gradually.

She clearly didn’t want to return to Shabbir that’s why they ran away. Ibrahim wanted to come back to masjid. He was just helping her.

Shabbir is just an angry man. You can’t reason with such people when they are angry.

kekekek... I am going to keep my expectations low so that I am prepared if it goes sideways. smiley36 That said, I do want just ending where Shabbir gets punished in many ways.

Not sure if Shabbir has any pleasant qualities though his mom thinks so. It is hard for me to understand the appeal of such a politician. The guy is so possessive and has no respect for religion or God or other people. He thought giving talaq was a joke and didn't matter as he just said it because he was angry. He didn't think it mattered because it wasn't said in a public setting. So rather than fear of God, it was fear of ammi that he obeyed. Otherwise, we can bet that he would have forced himself on Aaliya and treated her as his wife. In his mind, she is like his toy -- only he gets to decide when he does not want to play and if he does, she needs to come running. So not just angry but a whole host of other personality problems.
