Monank Patel: As soon as we lost two wickets, the plan was to not lose any more wickets till the end of the powerplay. Good partnership between me and him (Jahangir). Great innings by Rashid Khan. This is a good total, the odd ball is keeping low and it is a little two-paced. In the past few innings, I was not able to play more than ten balls. I wanted to give myself more time, settle down and then play my shots. We (Rashid and me) communicated really well. He kept on telling me to back my ability. I followed it and got the results.

A frantic end to the innings. It began much more sedately, though, and MINY, after losing Brevis and Pooran early, were content to consolidate. Patel did the bulk of the scoring and while his strike rate did not set the world alight, it ensured MINY had something to build upon. Rashid then entered the fray and provided the impetus the innings was craving. He smashed the ball to all parts and powered MINY to 163.

TSK, meanwhile, were largely good. Mohsin was tidy as always. Noor was expensive, particularly against Rashid, but picked up the wicket of Patel. Hardie also acclimatized well after being called in to replace Bravo at the death, and TSK, despite Rashid's pyrotechnics, will be happy with what they are chasing. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

UPDATE 7.59 am IST (2.39 am GMT) - It looks like the drizzle has stopped, that means the rain has passed by and the groundstaff can be seen removing the covers now. Thankfully it is just a short delay and we should gear up for the second essay now.

We are back for Texas Super Kings' reply. We haven't lost any overs here, as it was just a short 12 minute delay caused due to rains. MI New York stride out to the field. Followed by Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway who walk out to open for Texas Super Kings. It is Trent Boult who gets the new ball in hand.

5.3: Trent Boult to Faf du Plessis, FOUR! Faf du Plessis is on fire. Short ball this time, outside off. Faf du Plessis reaches out and slaps it over covers. The ball races away to the boundary. The third one on the trot. 14 runs come from the last three ball.

5.2: Trent Boult to Faf du Plessis, SIX! HIGH AND HANDSOME! Faf du Plessis moves to 28 runs off just 18 now. Trent Boult has been very expensive so far. He goes for the yorker, but it comes out as a half-volley. Faf du Plessis stands tall and dispatches it over the long off fence for a biggie.

5.1: Trent Boult to Faf du Plessis, FOUR! Wonderful shot. Boult goes full, outside off. Faf du Plessis is quick to read it. He steps outside the off stump and scoops it towards fine leg for four runs.
